I might be missing a trick here, but I can't see anyway to change the priority of an existing task. Can anyone help?

When on the home screen, is Priorities listed among the items?

If not, select Settings > Fields & Defaults. Click Reorder, then drag Priority from the lower Unused section to the Used section. Click Done. The priority will now be available for use.

If Priorities was in the list, then someone else will have to help:)

When you are viewing a task's details, tap on the current priority. It will then show a dial where you can pick the new priority.

Thanks for the responses guys. We are talking about the iphone version here are we? There is no priority field shown in the Task detail and nowhere I can see in the settings to do so. The only indication of priority is the colour of the rectangular check box.

Which iPhone app are you using? It seems that you are not using the Toodledo app, nor ToDo by Appigo.

Perhaps Ultimate Todos by MMDESOFT?

Yeah, that doesn't sound like our app. We don't color the checkboxes.

How embarrasing it that! Yes it's the MMDESOFOFT product - It was the toodledo sync feature that threw me. I had been evaluating both..
So sorry guys - great product! :-)

If you Edit in Task Details, you can change the Priority.
