Lifehacker is having a poll of the top to-do lists. Don't forget to put your vote in :) http://lifehacker.com/5923767/best-to+do-list-manager |

Toodledo made the top "hive five"... here is the voting link: http://lifehacker.com/5924093/five-best-to+do-list-managers?tag=webapps |

In the Top Five Contenders article cited in the previous post, Lifehacker says that Toodledo can synch with Google Tasks. Is this correct, or are they mixing Toodledo up with a different app? I searched in Help for "Google" and didn't find anything about Google Tasks. |

Lifehacker made a mistake. Toodledo cannot sync with Google Tasks, although we are working on this. |

The results of the poll have caused me to lose a lot of respect for the community of lifehacker readers. All of the other apps listed are far inferior to Toodledo, with many of them lacking essential features such as start dates. In addition, Toodledo is also a fantastic record-keeper; because the iOS app supports TextExpander, I can use the Notebook section to record what I'm doing and use time and date stamps, and I can do this offline (which is crucial since I have only an iPod Touch). Despite the poll, there is nothing else out there even close to being as good as Toodledo. |

Of course, you can dial it down and use less features, but for a user who only wants a few, why would you choose TD? |

Because I might be thinking ahead about maybe wanting more capability & not want to have to change apps to be able to add those extras? (Not speaking for myself, just trying to think like your hypothetical user.) Because it has so many apps that interface with it & allow you to use it on so many platforms? (TaskUnifier is a great example of an awesome desktop companion to TD!) Because it has an incredibly responsive development team? Shall I go on? |
