can't sync after changing email address

I use the i-phone app and sync it to toodledo.
I've changed my email address, so yesterday I logged in to toodledo on the website and changed my email address there. Since doing this I can't now sync from my phone.
I've gone into my settings on my phone app and changed the email address there too but I get an error message 'Invalid API key, could not establish connection'
Does anyone know what this means and how I can sync from my app to toodledo?
