Hot list and email are not the same

It looks to me that my nightly email should be my hotlist. But, it sends more items than my hotlist. The most irritating are canceled items. They don't show up on the website when I click hotlist. But they are getting emailed.

Am I missing something?

They are probably on your hotlist, but hidden with one of your filters. The email does not apply any filters when being sent out.
