So far time tracking can be enabled only on the web interface. It will be very useful if users can enable time tracking on IOS app, say, when internet access is not available. Is the feature already on the roadmap?

You can enable the timer in the iOS app already. Go into Settings and then "Fields & Defaults" and you can then drag the timer field to the top section to enable it.
