I get smth like Мытье полов when I export my toodledo tasks to csv. In my toodledo account I use cyrilic letters and everything is displayed correctly.
is there any possibility to have my tasks with Cyrillic letters being exported normally? many thanks in advance |

solved by myself:-)
1. the cyrillic characters are dispalyed normally with "View CSV file" option from the import menu. That means, the problem is not in the toodledo but in the way the downloaded .csv file is handled by excel. 2. after i download the .csv file with all my tasks and upload it to the google drive, i open the .csv file in google drive and it works perfectly and shows all charactes correctly. So the ultimate answer is: 3. It seems that Excel does not open CSV files with UTF-8 correctly. the solution: in Excel click "Data" , then click "From Text", then navigate to your file, then in the Import Wizard Window: select "Delimited" (default is "fixed width"), and set Encoding to "Unicide UTF-8", in the next step select "Comma" as delimiter and here it goes: nice file with every character displayed correctly. |
