after adding a note from the tooledo notebook how do you get it to the notebook app in the iphone..

That is really a question for Appigo: http://www.appigo.com/notebook
Toodledo does not develop the Notebook app.
If you have not entered your Toodledo account login details into the Notebook app, do that. If you have, I can't help you.
Also, there's async button on the bottom-left of the screen in the Notebook app. If you haven't pressed that yet, give it a shot.
