I just added the repeat column and marked 2 tasks as "daily." How do I get the "daily" tasks to show up in my email alert for each day?

The email alert will send you whatever is in your hotlist. So, you need to get those repeating tasks into your hotlist by either adjusting your hotlist settings in your account settings, or by adjusting the tasks by increasing the priority or adjusting the dates.
