I have a bunch of tasks and a few projects in Nozbe, and I have the iPhone Nozbe too. How can I switch over to Toodledo without having to retype all my tasks all over again?

The short answer is you can't, at least not in any simple way. Toodledo has a variety of different import options, but there has to be some way to get your tasks all into a file from Nozbe first. Unfortunately, and incomprehensibly, Nozbe does not seem to have developed any export functions at all yet. Probably so that it is more difficult for people like you to leave for another site.

I did find that someone wrote a script for saving Nozbe tasks as a mindmap, and it can also save them as a .CSV (spreadsheet). If you could get all of your stuff in a .CSV, then you should be able to import it through Toodledo's .CSV import. Here is the link to the page where you can find the export tool that was designed by a Nozbe user: http://blog.mekk.waw.pl/archives/24-Nozbe2XMind-it-is-possible-to-save-back!.html

It is not a simple program, and it looks like you may have to download Python as well for it to work. It is up to you whether it is worth the trouble to avoid retyping all your tasks. I'm sorry you got set up on Nozbe first. It is very poor IMO to not have any export functions at all, and force your users to write programs to export through the API. You will find there is no end to the connections for your tasks once they are on Toodledo.

The only other option I can think of for you would be to save the printout file of your tasks, and either cut&paste all the tasks into Toodledo, or reformat the file so that it can be imported through Toodledo's Text or .CSV import tools found on this page: http://www.toodledo.com/connections.php
If you end up going with the cut&paste solution or simply deciding to retype your tasks, I would recommend Toodledo's "Add Multiple Tasks" tool, which is here: http://www.toodledo.com/bulk.php

Edit: I just wanted to mention this, though you may have already realized all this. Regardless of the method you use, it will be well worth the effort. I used Nozbe for a while (I still have some data there that I have to transfer myself someday), and it is not a bad app, but Nozbe is a mere toy compared to Toodledo when you look at design, features, connections, etc.. Also, though Nozbe seems to be a little better than some of Toodledo's other competitors at making improvements and handling customer requests and feedback, IMO Nozbe still subpar in those areas while Toodledo excels at such things.
