Make the task entry "screen" follow column sort rules

Essentially I want the status drop down in the task entry "screen" to NOT be the last item on the screen. I use this drop down much more than many of the others and in fact have it as one of the first columns in my views. I would think the task entry "screen" should follow the field sort order specified by the user but it doesn't seem to do that. Thanks in advance!

Yes, we intend to make the "add task" box have the fields in the same order that you have set the columns. This is on our to-do list for a future update.
