In Chrome when I type "/" to use the smart add syntax in the first position (all the way on the left), the "/" moves one space forward and the cursor stays in the first position. Very strange . I tested on internet explorer and I don't have this behavior.

The Smart add on chrome works for me everywhere except in the first position, but this is annoying because often I will start typing the task as

/top do something

now I need to write

do something /top

to work around the issue.

Yes. The "smart add box" was designed with the requirement that you start with the task's title and then add all the fields at the end.
