I'm new to TD. Every search I try labels a task by importance. I would just like to see a list of my next actions without TD telling me what is most important. What am I missing?

Importance is calculated based on Due Date, Priority, and the Star. It is only displayed when you sort your list by Importance. It is the default sort for each view, but your sort settings for each view are saved when you change them. So just change to any other sort in Search view and you will not see Importance any more. To change your sort, click "sort" above you task list and choose your criteria, or if you use Grid mode, you can simply click on a column headin to sort by that criterion (for example, click "Due Date" to sort by Due Date).
