Yes - except I didn't find that :-( and it doesn't say there is a known issue with the dev version.

I was thinking something more prominent

I have this problem with Chrome 4.0.266.0 which I downloaded from the official Google site. I assume this is their latest stable version as the site has separate link on their download page to a beta revision (5.0).

I also noticed the drop downs work properly when adding a new task at the top of the page; they don't seem to work on the table showing the list of tasks.

Well, maybe Google shipped a stable product with a big bug in it. That's their decision, I guess. We have spent a lot of time trying to work around this bug and have not found a solution. All the other web browsers work correctly, it is only Chrome 4.0+ that is having trouble. We'll keep trying to find a solution.

As a work around, I've installed a Chrome extension (IE Tab Classic) to automatically use the Internet Explorer engine to display Toodledo pages within Chrome.

This seems to be working so far...

I would like to share a workaround, which is kinda obvious. Sorry if it has been posted.

1) Click on the dropdown field, so that it's focused.
2) Now either change the options using the arrow keys.
3) Alternatively, press the first letter of your selection.

I use this a lot when entering tasks, to change the folder (or context, etc.)

What do you do after? If I hit enter It does not change.. The only thing I have been able to find is to hit TAB... This is under version 5.0.307.9

It looks like a fix was posted for Chrome today: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=23499

Does anyone know how to update Chrome to get this fix???

Should automatically get pushed in the next update. Its up to Google when it gets pushed. I believe the dev channel build does a push every week or maybe every other.
Otherwise you'd have to get source and build yourself.

Chrome seems to be broken again -- this bug has returned with the move to version 5. Very frustrating.

This is still present in chrome 6.0.485.1

It's been broken for 3 major versions now with no fix?

Yes, it is frustrating. We have tried everything that we can think of to work around this bug in Chrome. Google acknowledges it as their bug, but they have not fixed it yet.
