I need some help figuring out why my custom search is not doing what I want it to do. In order to have certain task show up in my Today List (Starred Task) automatically in the future, I create a task with a future start date and make sure the Star is selected. When the start date arrives, the task is shown in my Today List (Starred Task) and it works great. Now I want to create a custom search to show certain task with Stars but I want to exclude the task with a start date in the future. Here is what I have but it's not working. I still get task with a future start date because they have the Star activated on them. My filters are set to "Hide Future task". Any ideas. http://screencast.com/t/YzMxMzNlMmQ |

Your rule is "start date is not today" which will match any future or past start date. If you want to exclude all future start-dates, then you should use "start date is before today" |
