Sharing - Show up as Folder??

Right now it is kinda a pain to get to --> sharing --> collaborators --> pick person It would make sense to me - for ease of use - that if a folder is shared between people that folder is copied between users so that they do not need to go digging. Or is there a way to do this that I am just missing?
