Hi!

I'm new here. Coming from RTM-land.

I'm sure others have had issues with this, but I can't seem to find a way to delete a recurring tasks.

For example:
- I have a recurring task with no due date (or maybe I do have a due date).
- I may not work on that task today so I really need to delete it.

If I delete the task, the whole thing just goes away instead of at least asking me if I want to delete just today's or yesterdays instance.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Jake

If you want to skip a recurring task you can either move the due-date forward by editing the due-date, or you can make it an optional task, in which case it will move forward automatically when the date passes.

Thanks. However I'm still confused as to how to use this.

1) I created a task that has no start or end date - I want this task to repeat forever (for example, a task like: Exercise, or take daily vitamins).

2) I did not exercise yesterday but I will today. Since I did not do the task yesterday and there is no way I can do yesterdays exercise today, I need to delete the task from yesterday, but still keep todays exercise task alive.

Can you tell me how I can achieve this?

Here is the documentation for optional tasks. This is what you should use for a task that you don't want to appear in the history if you didn't do it.
