Google Calendar and Repeating Tasks

Now that I've finally gotten my iCal feed to work with Google Calendar (see http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/5631/0/calendar-wont-appear-in-google-calendar.html ) I have a question.

I've created a repeating task, something that I want to do every weekend. I gave it a start date of this coming Saturday, and a due date of Sunday, and set it to repeat weekly. Then I selected the filter to hide future tasks, so I won't be reminded of the task until each Saturday comes. Right now, it is not showing up on my Toodledo page, which is what I want.

However, it is showing up every Sunday on my iCal, which is feeding into my Google calendar. I would prefer to only see it on my calendar for the upcoming Sunday, not all future Sundays.

Based on this forum post, someone was having the opposite problem: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/1054/-4839/question-about-repeating-tasks.html
He wanted his repeating task to appear for each instance, but only the next one was appearing. That's what I want too, so does anyone know how I can get it?

I thought that maybe the setup had changed since that post, since it was 2008, but I found a more recent one that says the same thing: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/4621/-24551/repeating-tasks-in-claendar-view.html

The last post that you referred to was talking about our calendar on our website. It only shows the next occurrence. The iCal feeds contain the repeating information by specification, so it is up to your calendar application whether or not to show all future versions. There may or may not be a setting to suppress this information, so you'll have to look at the Google or Apple docs to see if this is possible.

Google calendar doesn't seem to have an option to suppress these repeats.

I second several requests to only show the next occurrence - that's what I see in my list, so that is what I would expect to see in the ical output.

Perhaps it could be made an option on the ical service setup page.
