Closing task details pane?

I am using the app on the iPad. Once I have opened the task details for a task, I don't seem to see a way to close that pane. It just sits open for the last task selected even if I do other things. How do I close the task details pane?

It is not currently possible to close it. It remains there until you select something else. We are considering making the details side go away when you back out of the navigation on the left side.
