I have a task that is not due until next Monday, but on the day it becomes due, it is a top priority. I would prefer that it not appear on my hot list until it's actual due date. Is there a way to set this up so that my hot list only shows me what is truly do today? If I want to assess what's come towards me, I can use all tasks.

Thanks!

This might help, there are some date modifiers:

It seems that the due date modifiers have no effect on what is displayed in the Hotlist if a task has a high enough priority. The setting for the Hotlist is based on a specified priority or a Due Date within a specified number of days. This means that a future task (with high enough priority) shows up in the Hotlist regardless of the modifiers or the filters.

But, a future Start Date will cause the task to be filtered out, regardless of priority.
