Hi all,

I am new to Toodledo after trying almost everything else out there. Toodledo rocks!

So I thought, I was so clever! I would sync toodledo with gcal - then sync gcal with my iphone - and get my task notifications! Clever, eh? It didn't work...

I got toodledo calendar into google via the ical link. Of course, now I have two calendars - my personal + toodledo. When I set up google calendar on the iphone using their Exchange Server hack, only my personal calendar shows up, leaving toodledo in the dust. :-)

Has anyone had more luck with anything similar?

Cheers & toodles!
Kate

You were clever. You just didn't follow through. I assume by "their Exchange Server hack", you mean Google Sync for mobile. Yes, you can have both calendars, and it works great for notifications. That is exactly what I use it for. The part you missed, if you are indeed using Google Sync, is that you have to go here: http://m.google.com/sync on your iPhone!
The instructions are here: http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=139206&ctx=sibling&topic=14252
You can sync up to 5 different calendars with Google Sync. Just remember to set it to "push" in the iPhone settings if you want timely notifications.

My goodness, it worked! This is so wonderful! (Sorry, are you allowed to get this excited over task alerts on this particular forum?) Thanks for the clever response.

Re: timely notifications:
Only reasonably timely as google calendar only updates the toodledo stuff daily, so there is that. Still. I am an extremely happy camper.

I agree this is not a shining example of why Google is so successful. I think everyone who agrees should email them. See my post here: https://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/175/-9337/google-calendar-sync-frequency.html
