Support for simple repeat options in API version 2

We are currently in the process of moving our Android application to version 2 of the API. Today I noticed a small usability issue with the repeat field. If our app sends a task to Toodledo with a simple repeat value of "daily" or "weekly", this appears on the web site with an advanced repeat string of "every 1 day" or "every 1 week". While is is equivalent, a user would probably expect to see the dropdown list with one of the simple repeat options selected instead.

The API documentation for the repeat field does not explicitly mention a way to send a simple repeat option. Is this possible, and if not will this be supported at some point?

This isn't a major issue, of course, but it would be good to provide our users with the most consistent experience possible.

We are trying to transition to having only the free form entry box for repeating task. We want to get rid of the "simple repeat" option on our website. The free form box can do everything that the simple menu can do and having two different ways to do the same thing seems unnecessarily confusing to us. We are trying to simplify. Along that route, the API only supports the free-form entry of repeating tasks. It does not affect the functionality of repeating tasks, only the presentation on our website, which will be transitioned at some point.

Hope that explains it.
