Some of my users are having trouble logging into Toodledo via the API when their passwords contain special characters like #, $, !, or +. Is there a trick to transmitting these special characters in the 'getUserid' method? Is there a limitation in the API that doesn't apply to the web version of Toodledo as to which characters you can use? If not, should I percent-escape or not percent-escape them? Any help is appreciated.

Yes, you should produce a valid url which means encoding all of the special characters.
