Is it possible to use getUserid by passing an MD5 encrypted password instead of a plain text one?

I would like to store a handful of user accounts in a local database with MD5 passwords for each user and then pass this directly to auth with the Toodledo server.

This isn't currently possible. And it isn't even more secure if it where possible, since an eavesdropper could use the MD5 password to sign in to the API in the same way that they could use a regular password. We are working on our API 2.0 which will solve the password in plain text problem.
