@Peter - I appreciate your info on todo, that's helpful information. I did attempt a search for 2do and came up empty. As for other searches, I couldnt find keywords that gave me reasonable results and with the update cycle that apps experience, many of the old reviews are made obsolete.

That's better.

I read that the 2do app doesn't handle all of the fields. I may just try both. It's interesting that quite a few people have strong negative opinions about each app. Makes it hard to find a clear solution without buying them all and using them all.

Keep the reviews coming if anyone has something share.

That's it...one response?

Im a new iPhone user, longtime toodledo user. I'm wondering which app you use and why. If have tried others, why did you stop using it?

I'm leaning towards the Toodledo app, but the 2Do app looks nice as well. Also, I've heard lots of good things about Appigo's app. What say you?

@Jamie

That's what happened to me...did you find a fix?
Jeremy

I'm not sure what your doing right, but I'm glad its working for you. I've invested a lot of time trying to figure out if there was a setting that was off and just couldn't make it work. I'm a heavy bb user so I am very familiar with the OS and how to fix common problems, but I could figure out what was wrong.

Its frustrating because the second to last beta version was lightning fast and I was sold on paying for this program.

They made three updates from there that were progressively slower and took forever to sync.

Sounds like they have stopped improvements and taking feedback from customers.

It worked great right after they annouced it for sale....when they made a recent update it seemed to slow everything down and ping the network so much that it killed my battery quite quickly. I think they have a great product, but it needs further development.

Why would you want to do this?

What situation would this be valuable for?

I use auto-text on my blackberry for syntax. I would use a template feature on a regular phone. You could create a cheat sheet and keep it in a wallet or billfold. I taped the shortcuts above the keyboard until as a quick refence. Once you learn the syntax, it comes naturally.

As an alternative you can send tasks to an "inbox" folder or context and process them daily.

I second that....get some sleep. Thanks for the commitment to getting things back up...

Oh, like delegating a task. That would be cool.

Then you could track the follow up with a "delegation" context or folder. That would be very useful.

Emailing a task to Toodledo is my favorite feature.

Here is how to do it.

Also if you you add a BCC to Toodledo on follow up items or "inbox" (GTD) items that need to be processed it makes life a lot easier.

@brs

Dial2Do does not support anything but the task. Its a nice "mind dump" tool into any inbox. I have a "No Context" seach set up that pulls up all "inbox" items so that I can decide what needs to be done with them in true GTD fashion. So the workflow is

Think of something -> Use Dial2Do -> Sent to Toodledo -> End of day review -> Run Saved Search (Toodledo) -> Process inbox...

The real benefit of dial2do is the accurate transcription and that its free.

Hope that helps.
