+1 from me too.

I also would like "templates" in general, to have a few default templates for common tasks which aren't regulary.

Thanks a lot for your fast and positive reply. Toodledo is almost perfect and I refer it allways to my friends. This feature would be a killerfeature which would force me to plan realisticly and keep forcing me to follow my planed way.

Big thanks for implementing it in the future!

As a pro user since years, I really really would like a function which is bugging me as long like I didn't completed the task.

Very often I've set up reminders, but atm it's impossible to complete it. Very often I forget it then, till the next time I login Todledo.

A function which is bugging me till I've completed the task woulde make me to a better person. Also add a "snooze" function, which allows to snoose the bugging for 1 hour or something like this.

There is an iPhone app for this (http://www.dueapp.com/) But I want to use Toodledo for it.

From Topic: Goals and Daily Tasks

Anders, like other times you're the best :) Thanks for taking time and explaining me this...

I think the best way for me would be to use the "optionally on" modifier. This was exactly I was searching for and I dind't know this exist. I think when I use this, I don't cheat myself and I see broken chains if I didn't do what I should do. And when I'm for exmaple on holidays I can bump it back as you described.

Every day I use Toodledo I learn more how great it is :) It became my most important app ever. Beside of this: I think Toodledo should employ you ;)

From Topic: Goals and Daily Tasks

I started to use goals and saw one big possibility to change some some "unnice" things in my life. I thought it would make sense to set up for example a lifelong goal called "fitness" and a daily repeating task called "doing workout". So far so good, but when I miss this one time I can't check the task for the next day, I've to check the task first for the missed day and then for the actual day. But this is not significant if I want to show up wholes in my chain if I didn't do my workout one day.

The only solution for this problem I see is to set up for every day a new task with "doing workout" and when I miss it then delete it. But this is very time consuming, especialy if you've a lot of these daily tasks. Is there any solution for this problem I don't see? What's the fastest way to get this done?

I think if something like this would be possible, it would be possible to "drill" everyone who wants this to get a better person. If I get reminders for something everyday it gets on my nervers and I do it before I get the reminder. I can trick myself in this way and this would help me a lot.

What are others thinking about this? Sorry for my bad english, feel free to ask if something or my target isn't understandable.

Best regards,
Andy

From Topic: Re-order Subtasks

Wouldn't it be easier to set a due date for the subtasks this keeps the more important subtaks above the less important subtaks and this automatically?

But yes, an additional manual reorder should be possible if there aren't no due dates set.

I really would like the multi edit thing too. I think good ways would be - like here supposed - ctrl + click or via push pin. This would make our lifes much easier...

So +1 for multi edit.

I got a similiar "problem", but did you found this: https://www.toodledo.com/forums/3/2304/0/greasemonkey-firefox-script-for-auto-show-subtasks.html

Additionaly I give every task which has a subtask a star and sort first by star.

This makes my life so much easier :)

It works (push and mail)!!!!!! The timezone was the problem, sorry for doesn't checking this exactly enough. My tests were in the near future so the task was everytime overdue and couldn't trigger the notification to send out. Thanks again for your great support and superb service you provide :)

One little question: Is it normal that you send the notifications a few minutes before the alarm should occure? For example: When I set up a due time to 8:40 am and the alarm to "15 minutes before" I get the push notification at about 8:20 and the email at about 8:23. I think you do this to get as possible near to the "right" alarm time and provide stable notifications in this way?

I don't want to get annoying but I don't think the JB is the problem. As I know - and I know a lot of the iPhone scene - only unofficial unlocked iPhones get problems with push notification. Push works with multiple applications and for example with Beejive I recieve the push notifcation near instantly (delay under 1s). And if this would be a problem, why do I don't get the email reminder? This worked without any problem, and I triple checked my spam filters. Now it doesn't work.

Is there any possiblity to provide more (perhaps debug) information? Toodledo is my most important application on my iPhone...

Hi Anders,

It's very strange yes... I provide here as lot as possible information:

My setup:

Device: iPhone 3G S, 32 GB Version, jailbroken with Purplera1n RC 2, valid activation from my carrier
Carrier: Orange (Switzerland)
Internet Conntection: 3G and WLAN (both connections tested, they work)

Task: Set up a task with a due time at 17:30 for today the 21st july 2009. "Remind me" is activated and set to "15 Minutes before". So far so good, but I still don't get reminders... So I should recieve a notification by mail AND push at 17:15 (or 5:15 pm if you like), right?

Here are sceenshots of the important stuff:

Settings at toodledo.com:

Push notification setup @ my iPhone:
http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/6761/notification1.jpg
http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/4636/notification2.jpg

Proove that push works:

Do you have any idea? What information can I provide additionaly?

Best regards,
Andy

I've got exactly the same (as littlebananzajoe) setup and unfortunately the same problems. Push notifications generally work (with Beejive for example) and they are enabled on my iPhone for Toodledo. Today I tought I want to test this feature but I didn't recieve a notification..

The strange thing was I didn't get an email too, this worked without any problems in the past.

Are there some general issues with notifications?

Aaaah, I found the problem when I typed the basic things manualy as you supposed. Because I'm pro plus member, I've enabled SSL.. So the include and the namespace URL is https instead of http. Now it works great :)

Thanks a lot!

It does nothing at my side (even after a page reload by pressing CTRL+F5). Are there special Toodledo settings needed?
ablank

Posted: Jul 14, 2009

Sounds nice that this will be implemented at some point. I tried your suggested Gracemonkey script, but nothing happens. Do I need special settings for Toodledo to get this working? I also tried reloading the page via CTRL+F5 which often solves problems like this with Gracemonkey.

Thanks again for your hints :) But there isn't any way to show them auto uncolapsed...? So I don't have to click anything?

Thanks a lot for this very fast reply. This works very good. But is there the possibility to show them toggled as a tree view? When I enable this option then I only can see the main task and it would be great to show them under this main task in a tree view.

Best regards,
Andy
