Ahhh..OK. Sounds like a good option, and glad to hear that the backup does indeed capture everything in my account. Thanks!

Thanks, Jake. I'm a Pro user with several years of historical data that I want to keep (account history and other things - I'm in Tech Sales). So, there's probably well over 5,000 tasks dating back quite a while - most of them completed and there for historical reporting and search purposes.

I 'only' have 200 or so active tasks - but I want to make sure to backup my entire account as I have literally YEARS of data in Toodledo. So, if there's a better way that I should be doing backup, could you plz let me know?

It somewhat freaks me out that my entire work 'life' is in Toodledo and there doesn't appear to be an easy way to archive and restore if needed.

Thx..

Hi..I'd like to make complete backups of my Toodledo data, but see there's a 4 MB limit on the "Restore" file upload.

My backup files are a bit over 4 MB..so, is there a way to backup and restore an entire account with more than 4 MB of data?

Thanks.

Hi, Toodledo..

Longtime Pro User here, wondering if it'd be possible to have a "type" field for each task to indicate whether the task is a todo, call, email, "goto" (travel to), etc.

This would be extremely helpful in managing task history and reporting..as it stands now, I have to start each task with "Call so-and-so".."Email so-and-so"..and it gets cluttered.

ACT and other PIMs do implement this, and it's a pretty nice feature for reports and also the task list itself.

Thanks!

Why do completed tasks show as 'Overdue' when displaying by Tag and sorted by Due Date?

This would seem to be a bug..shouldn't the completed tasks show up in a section called "Completed" vs "Overdue"?

I use Tags to organize my tasks by customers (one tag per customer), and like to have a running history of what I did for that customer. So, viewing by Tag and then Due Date descending is a perfect way to do this - except all the completed tasks show up in a section labeled "Overdue".

Would it be possible to have completed tasks show up in a "Completed" section instead when not hiding completed tasks?

I'm not entirely certain, but I believe the iPhone app also does this..

Hmmm..showing up now. Weird. So, I think it must be user error on my part?

Thanks..checked the filter, and "hide future tasks" is off.

Any other suggestions? The task does not show up in any list unless I search explicitly for it..

Just created a task with a due date of 3/1/2015. For some reason, I don't see it in Folder view for the Folder I put it into..it DOES come up if I do a search, but I want to see all tasks in that Folder, regardless of how far out (even years) the due date is.

Any ideas?

Thx..

Thanks..see above, though - I was wondering if the status field shows when you're looking at the ToDo list by Due Date (like..tasks due "Today").

On the website, I can select the Status column to show, so I see "Active", "Waiting", "None", etc for Status when sorting by Due Date.

Does the iPhone version do the same thing? I'd like to see all tasks due "Today", with a Status field that I can not only see, but also SELECT (on the iPhone) to choose "Waiting", "Active", etc.

Also - is there an Eval version (or detailed docs) available for the iPhone app? I realize it's only $3.99, but would like to see if it meets my needs before having to buy it outright..

Thanks -

Hi, Toodlepeople.

Does the iPhone app show a "Status" field in the "Due Date" List?

I'd like to be able to see / select more than just "done" or "not done" (ie: choose/show 'active', 'waiting', etc), like we can with the Web app or the FF add-in.

Thanks -

Thanks, Toodledo.

Might be a bug - the tag that I don't see a tab for is the "only" one on the task. And it doesn't show up on the Tags list under Task View By (Tag).

I also only have 5 or so total tags that show as tabs..and lots of room for other tags across the top.

Any ideas?

Thanx..

In View by Tag, I noticed that I automatically get little "tabs" with "most" of the tags I've entered displayed across the toolbar. (Cool!). Clicking on any of the tabs "filters" the To-Do list by tag. (So far, so good!)..BUT..

I noticed that not "every" tag has a tab. There also doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to which tag gets a tab automatically and which ones don't.

I know I can create a custom search for a particular tag, but don't love how the display separates things by date (ie: 'completed on' headers). Clicking "toggle headers" in this view also didn't do what I expected - it actually collapsed the detail lines UNDER the headers (so only headers were shown!) vs getting rid of the headers. Not sure if that's what was intended, or if this might be a bug..

Thanks..

Yep! An "all-purpose"/custom field for sorting would be awesome, and at least give us a stop-gap until something more elegant/fully featured (eg: drag-and-drop sequencing) could be implemented.

I use tags for other things (eg: account name), so using tags for sequencing really isn't 'ideal'.

Hey, here's an idea..

Even "basic" sequencing for top-level tasks would be awesome and VERY helpful.

How about just adding a Task "sequence" field and having this be one of the choices for sort order?

I for one wouldn't mind having to put a "1, 2, 3", etc into the sequence field to get basic sort/prioritizing.

This is how other systems like Franklin Covey handled sequencing and basic 'ordering' of task lists.. Their system used a letter (A, B, or C) for priority (corresponding to high, medium and low), and then a number after it - like, "A1, A2, B1, B2, B3", etc.

Seems like all it would take for a basic solution here would be having a field we could put something like that into. Or, just put "1, 2, 3" in.

The downside is that wouldn't be particularly elegant - ie: there'd be no drag and drop to re-sequence. But it would be an excellent "stop gap" for those of us who need basic task sequencing.

This would be a HUGE improvement for those of us who's task lists have lots of things on it every day, as even ordering by priority really isn't enough to be able to put a basic order of "do this first, THEN this", etc to the list.

Thanks!
