From Topic: Outlook 2013 Sync

Although I don't use this myself yet, you might want to look at Gsyncit ( http://www.fieldstonsoftware.com/software/gsyncit3/ ) which claims to sync outlook 2013 tasks and notes with Toodledo......

Thanks for the prompt response Jake - I look forward to the next release :-)

I've setup a number of searches on the website which use start and due date filters for TODAY and TOMORROW. These work exactly as I'd expect on the website and correctly returning the tasks I'm expecting to see based on the criteria each day. However, on my iPad and iPhone, these same searches show nothing.

I suspect that the iOS app is changing the relative date values and is setting it to an absolute - probably the date I created the filter and it was synced. More testing is needed to prove this.

Is anybody else seeing problems with this?

From Topic: Lists on iPhone App

Thanks Jake. For some of us, these great new features don't exist until they are available online AND on the mobile platforms (in my case iPhone and iPad). It is frustrating to see these brilliant and potentially game changing enhancements deliver online only to realise that they will not be useable in the mobile workflow for weeks, months or years. The lack of an ETA makes this more difficult to endure without losing faith, as we don't know how close these things really are.

I appreciate your hard work and am sticking with you despite my personal frustrations. This is a good platform. I'm looking forward to seeing it become really great.

Looking forward to ios implementation of lists and outlines. Then these become something I can accept into my workflow!

This would be a very useful feature, allowing tasks that need to be done later in the day to be hidden for a while. I can see a number of use cases for this in my workflow. Consider me a +1 please.

Nice one.

From Topic: Chrome bugs

I've seen similar with a long list of Contexts too and have created a support ticket for this.

Thanks Jake - I'll enjoy the fix when it appears.

I have a few tasks which are longer than a single line in the display on iOS and have selected the muti-line option in the settings to display these across multiple lines instead of truncating. For most of the time, text is displayed correctly wrapped across 2 lines, but occasionally the 2nd line is overwriting the start and due date in the following line I.e. The task text and the date info are being displayed at the same place. I've not spotted a pattern to this and it seems to be intermittent in nature.

Is anybody else seeing this?

Firstly I'd like to acknowledge the effort being put in by Jake and the team in making Toodledo such a good product. There are a lot of people depending upon it for their productivity and who are also pationate about the product. We are your best advocates.

The problem is that what appears to us as small problems or changes seem not to be treated with the same level of priority and vigor as chasing new features. It is hard to understand why. It is also hard to understand or be patient when the feature backlog is so opaque and unclear. The lack of consistency between iOS and web interfaces means that new features are rendered useless for a lot of people. The lack of an android app seems to go the same way.

Come on Toodledo. Examine the backlog and prioritise to satisfy your existing customers. It is time to be open and honest. Make your good product into the great product it could be. Please. Before we're no longer pationate or patience runs out.

Totally get it Jake and accept your explanation 100%

But I do trust Evernote with my data, just like I trust Toodledo.

So please make the warning go away, or give me an option to choose if this is ever displayed. It adds no real value and indeed is a dangerous thing to get used to seeing - the display is crying wolf.

Saved searches is a major enhancement to useability Jake and should allow me to significantly improve my workflow. Another great enhancement. Well done mate.

From Topic: Support for Drafts

Many thanks wenzelppc - this is a great option and I have made this work for me too. By disabling reminders sync in the mail options, enabling reminders sync in the Toodledo iOS app and adding the URL action you posted in Drafts, I have been able to get a list in drafts sent to reminders and then synced to Toodledo. It works great!!

As an additional benefit, reminders added by Siri also get synced into Toodledo - something else I've wanted for a while.......

These will help my workflows a lot - thank you.

From Topic: iOS App Version 3.0.8

Saved searches in the iOS app will make a massive improvement Jake, enabling people to unleash the same power as the web for their offline work. I really look forward to this - it will allow me to optimise my flows.

In tips and tricks there is a pinned topic "How to import Palm Desktop (Mac) memos/notes to the Notebook, st" from 2009.

Surely this is time expired now and should no longer appear at the top of the topic list?

There have been a number of more recent and equally useful items (including the recent Atrid import information) which are more relevant and not pinned in this way......

As a workaround, this feature does work in the notes field, so copying the details into the notes associated with the task (instead of putting them in the task itself) may be a better option?

You could try tapping on the Toodledo icon - this often prompts IOS to restart the download/installation.
