A similar issue was reported here: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/3673/0/add-task-select-boxes-broken-with-google-chrome-.html
Unfortunately no one seems able to reproduce. I would try clearing your browser cache.

Indeed it does. I can't believe I have never noticed that before. I also did not realize the modifiers would hide until the date on the Hotlist rather than until a week before as it is everywhere else. I fought with myself about using Start Dates at first because I didn't want to add the field just for the purpose of hiding things, but it works really well and I'm glad I started using it.

The Toodledo app does not support syncing multiple accounts simultaneously (nor do any of the 3rd party apps). You could switch back and forth, but it would require deleting and reentering login info, etc.

The better options are probably these:
-Sync one account with the app. And use the slim site for the other account: http://www.toodledo.com/slim
-Sync one account with the Toodledo app, and the other with one of the 3rd party apps.

I think the Hotlist actually should hide tasks due further than a week out if they have a due date modifier. That might be a bug, or I might be mistaken, but you can toggle the future tasks filter in that view, so it seems like it should apply.

I agree with your issue in general BTW. I really wish that one of the due date modifiers could hide tasks until that date like a start date does. That is the only reason I use start dates.

Unfortunately, that is a very unique issue, and there really is no FAQ for something like that. I would first check to make sure that Toodledo.com is allowed to store cookies by IE (this is necessary for the login to be successful. If that doesn't work, it may unfortunately be something more complicated.

From Topic: Optional tasks?

I am not sure what a "soft" due date is. I have seen the term used in different ways. An optional Due Date has a specific meaning however. It is one of Toodledo's due date modifiers: http://www.toodledo.com/info/help.php?sel=42

You can read the details there, but essentially, it just makes a task that disappears rather than becoming overdue. Where it finds its real potential is when combined with repeats. For instance you can have a daily repeating optional task, that will show up as due every day, but will never be overdue even if you don't complete it. You can use this for a floating due date as well. Just set the date, make it optional and set a daily repeat. Then if the task's due date passes, it will show up as due the next day, and so on. The only catch is that when you do finally complete it, you have to either remove the repeat from it first, delete it instead of completing it, or complete it and then delete the next occurrence that will appear.

When you add a note to a Goal in the Goal management screen (by clicking on the note icon), you must then click "Save Changes" to save the note. This is different from how Task notes work, where note additions and edits are saved automatically, and I am honestly not sure why it works differently.

From Topic: due today

I am not sure I understand the question. If you are on the Today tab of Due Date view ( http://www.toodledo.com/views/duedate.php?i=2 ), then only tasks due today will be shown. If you are in another view, and sort by Due Date, then overdue will go to the top, followed by today, etc. There is no way in that case to move overdue to the bottom, but you can toggle the overdue divider shut to hide the overdue tasks and bring today's tasks to the top. If I am misunderstanding your question, please let me know.

From Topic: sync with pc

Well, Toodledo doesn't develop, or support the Listmaker app. The only iPhone app you will find synchronization instructions for is the official Toodledo app. There are just too many different third party apps that sync with Toodledo for this website to have directions for using them all, plus that is really the responsibility of the app's developers (Daze End software in this case), not Toodledo. Daze End makes two apps that sync with Toodledo and they do a good job in my experience. I am sure they have these instructions somewhere on the site I linked previously. They also have (underused) forums for the app if you are interested.

Listmaker is a third party application. In the future, you should try contacting the developer for support: http://software.dazeend.org/index.html

The Third-Party Applications forum is another good place to ask questions about this sort of app.

However, I can tell you how to do this. It is fairly simple.

- Open your iPhone settings app

- Scroll down and tap Listmaker(note this is in the iPhone settings not the app itself)

-Enter your email login, and password for Toodledo in the appropriate fields

-Turn synchronization on

You are set.

You can use task notes in the FF sidebar, just not the Toodledo notebook. It sounds like you are referring to task notes, unless I am mistaken. Also for checklists, you might want to check out what you can do with subtasks. They require a Pro account, but there is a free trial so you can see if they would be effective for your use before committing.

If you look at the posting time, and edit time, it seems that the question was posted, but the answer was found some time in the next 4 minutes.

All the repeat options are described here: http://www.toodledo.com/info/help.php?sel=2

I do not believe your scenario is a supported type (you could try advanced options, repeat every fifth weekday of each month, but I don't think the weekday and weekend terms work outside of format III, and that is format II).

That is not currently possible. It has been suggested previously though. Another option if you are not fond of the display on the Toodledo calendar is to use the Toodledo iCal subscription to add your tasks to another calendar like Gcal, etc. http://www.toodledo.com/connect_ical.php

From Topic: Data Disappeared

Hi, could you provide some more details? Was this a first time sync with the app, a force sync, or just a regular sync? If you check your recently deleted tasks in your Account Settings, does anything appear there, and if so what was the cause of deletion? Do you use the Toodledo iPhone app, or one of the third party apps?

So, after the force sync, you have no tasks on the Toodledo website? Is it possible there is a filter blocking them. Tags don't even sync on their own. They only sync if a task containing them is synced. I would try a search for all tasks to make sure there is not a filter in the way.

You can set up all kinds of custom filters using Toodledo's advanced search, and then save them.

BTW, here is the app's website: http://www.toodledroid.com/
Someone has apparently gotten Toodledroid working with the Hero, so it is not a device compatibility issue. See the highlighted post near the bottom of this thread: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/6/240/-15249/read.html
And here is a thread already going about the app in the Third Party Applications forum: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/8/3209/0/toodledroid-android-client.html
One thing you could try is changing your login email and/or password for Toodledo, especially if either has unusual characters in it. That is a common problem with newer apps.

It could be that Toodledroid does not support the Hero, but I really don't know. It is a third party application, so you will have to contact its developers for support. I have seen their website, and I couldn't find any contact links, so it may not be easy to do so. You could also try posting in the Third Party Applications forum, and perhaps another user of the app might have some advice.
