Having a single place where all your tasks are permanently stored and easily accessible will allow you to relax, knowing that you won't forget anything.
The hotlist contains tasks that are due soon as well as tasks that have a high priority. This is a convenient way to see your most important tasks at a glance.
You can easily customize your hotlist to include exactly what you want.
Toodledo uses advanced Web 2.0 technologies to make your experience faster and more efficient. Add tasks, edit tasks and complete tasks without making the page reload. This means that you can perform multiple actions at once, and you don't have to wait for your internet connection to catch up.
Another feature that makes your experience more efficient is the "Add Multiple" tool which helps you to add several similar tasks in one quick step.
You can organize your tasks into different folders or projects. For example, you could have a folder for work related tasks, one for home projects and another for your hobby.
When viewing your tasks, you can easily open and close folders to hide or reveal their contents. Folders can be quickly added, renamed, or moved up or down in the list. You can even designate certain folders as "private". If you choose to share your tasks via the Sharing section, your private folders will remain hidden.
The pop-up calendar lets you quickly pick any due-date for your todo. Once you have picked a due-date, we'll remind you when the deadline is approaching. You can choose to display dates in a variety of different formats (Jan 30, 2006, 1/30/2006, 30/01/2006, etc.)
You can also choose to set how a todo repeats. If you do this, we will automatically reschedule the todo for you, each time you complete it. You can set a todo to repeat daily, weekly, monthly, yearly or many other ways. This is a great way to keep track of birthdays, appointments and other reoccurring obligations.
You can also keep track of the time that your task starts. For example: 4:30pm, 9:00am, etc.
Contexts help you organize your tasks by where you are and what you are doing. Afterall, there is no sense being reminded about tasks at home when you are at work, or vice versa. When you use Toodledo, you can set the context that you are in, which will hide all the tasks that do not match that context. Some commonly used contexts include: work, home, car, telephone, church, etc.
Setting personal goals is a powerful way to direct your energy and determine what you want to achieve in life. Unlike tasks, which have a clear path of action, goals are usually more nebulous and difficult to quantify. For example: Get a promotion. Be a good parent.
You can create lifelong, long-term and short-term goals and assign these goals to individual tasks. This will allow you to keep track of which actions contribute to your goals, and which actions may not be a fruitful use of your time.
The calendar will give you a visual representation of when your tasks are due, so you can get a feel for what you have accomplished as well as what you may have forgotten about. Click on any week, month or date to get the details about the specific tasks.
Some tasks are more important than others. With priorities, you can better sort and organize your tasks.
Giving a task a negative priority will make it hidden on your todo list. This way, you are not distracted by unimportant tasks. You can also choose to reveal these hidden tasks. Giving a task a priority of "Top" will make it appear on your hotlist.
You can keep track of estimated and actual time spent on any project. Estimated time can help you prioritize better and find small tasks to fill in little chunks of free time. Our auto-scheduler can help you group together short tasks to be more efficient. Actual time can be used for billing purposes or in making yourself more efficient.
Toodledo makes it easy to keep track of the actual time. Simply, click the play button to start a timer. You can have multiple timers going, and you don't even need to leave your web browser open for them to work. When you are ready to take a break, simply click the pause button. We keep track of the time so you don't have to.
You can attach lengthy notes to any task, so you can keep track of important information.
Toodledo also has a section called the "Notebook" which is a place to store long notes that may not belong in your to-do list.
Add tags or keywords to help describe the task. Some people like to record the state of their task (nearly done, postponed, waiting for Tom, etc.)
People who use the GTD principle can also use this field for tracking contexts or status. Or, use it for your own organizational system.
Keep track of the status of a task by marking it with "Next Action", "Active", "Postponed", "Planning" and more. You can sort and filter your list by status to narrow things down to the essential tasks that you can work on right now.
Quickly find any tasks with our quick search field. Just start typing and any matching tasks will instantly appear.
You can also visit the advanced search page to perform a detailed search on any combination of parameters.
You can easily share your to-do lists with coworkers, friends, family or anyone else. You have complete control over who has permission to read or modify your to-do list.
You can add as many collaborators as you want. Collaborators can view your entire to-do list (unless you have marked some folders as private). If you want, you can give individual collaborators permission to add tasks to your list.
Toodledo keeps track of when you completed your tasks so that you can go back and see what you completed in the past, day by day.

You can easily export your tasks in almost any format and take them somewhere else or save them on your computer as a backup.
Easily print your to-do list as a foldable booklet that you can put in your pocket. Assembly of the booklet is as simple as one cut with a scissors and a few folds.
