PEAPCRE is the table that is used to draw the academic year rate for faculty so overloads and summer pay can be calculated. The employer code is CMSU. For year, use the fiscal year, for instance, 2020, 2021, etc. Select Go and use the code TFD in the Pension Code area. Enter the ACADEMIC salary in the Pension Credit Override area and select Save.
This is only done for new faculty. For returning faculty, send a spreadsheet to Ian Billingsley that includes position #, 700 #, last name, first name, rank, and academic year rate.

Chairs evaluate first- and second-year faculty in the preparation of making recommendations on reappointment. After reviewing with faculty, chairs forward the evaluations to the college dean, and these evaluations, along with written recommendations for areas of improvement, are kept in the faculty member's department. A written rebuttal from the faculty member may also be kept in the file. These rebuttals may be used for reference when an application for tenure or promotion is considered.
If you plan to recommend non-renewal, you and the individual's respective department chair must inform the faculty member in writing (cc: Provost) of your intent by March 1.

Each person should be evaluated and the report of the evaluation should be signed by the department chair and dean. Individuals to be terminated must be given the courtesy of an interview with the department chair and dean at which time the individual is informed that termination is being requested.
