Refreshing doesn't remove completed tasks

Lately, when I check a completed task and then refresh, the task isn't removed. I continue to see a checkmark by the task, which is now grayed out. Even logging out and logging back in doesn't change this, nor does quitting and restarting my browser. This is happening both on Firefox and Safari. I can delete the task with the trash icon, but don't want to do this for repeating tasks. But it's really strange that completed tasks would previously go away when I refreshed, but now they don't. Anyone else experiencing this or have a way around it?

I use Explorer and filter out my completed tasks. They don't show up. Have you by any chance changed your filter settings so that completed tasks aren't filtered out?

It is a filter setting. Click on "filters" and then "hide recently completed".
