Also, how do you delete a list tag e.g one that is incorrectly spelled

List tags are created automatically when you add a new item to a row. This is also how you would correct a misspelled tag. You need to edit it on each row that has it to the correct spelling and then the list will update.

Kindly develop a tags manager page for adding, editing and deleting tags. Nested tags would be even better. This would allow users to customize TD as per their needs (more flexibility than fields).
