Hey there TD staff.

The Search functions are great! I use that as my main screen, and have 11 search tabs currently.

My most technical search has 8 rules and 20 sub-rules in total. So I definitely appreciate the complexity of these searches.

One feature request (Unless there's another way to do it) is to have a criteria that query's a sub-task's Parent. For example.

Ssomething like. (This is actually what I'm trying to do)

Is Subtask = Yes
Subtask's Parent's Priority = 3
Checked Off = No

Only show the subtask if the parent's priority is 3. The subtasks could have any priority.

I don't think there is anyway to do this currently.

This is what I'm Trying to do.

Match -Any- of the following criteria:
-Has Tasks- Yes
AND -Priority- is -3 Top
OR
-Is Subtask- Yes
AND -Parent's Priority- is -3 Top (This criteria doesn't exist)

I'm constantly running up against this problem. Seems like this is the only search criteria that's left out.

Perhaps a search criteria such as:

"Has Parent-Task in Results"
"Has Parent-Task not in Results"

:)

+1 for me. I was trying to do the search:

-Is Subtask- Yeas
-Parent Task- -contains- Bookiceland.com

To move parent task and all its subtask to a different folder. Couldn't see any easy way to do that other than with search and bulk edit.

Ooh, that would be a great addition to the search function! I can see all kinds of uses for being able to query the parameters of the parent task. I make heavy use of searches too (my main view is my customised "hotlist"-style search) and things like being able to show subtasks whose parent task is high priority, for instance, would be really handy.
