You can do this by sharing the task as a "Joint Task". It will appear in each person's list. You can tag it with the person's name so they know that it's their responsibility.

Sorry, this isn't possible inside of Toodledo. Maybe you can change the name of the file when you are saving it to your computer.

Thanks for the suggestions. We do not comment on timeframes for implementation, but these are on our to-do list.

Thanks

Im Safari, you'll want to make sure that the "Favorites Bar" is showing. You can show it from the View menu. Then drag the bookmarklet link to the Favorites bar.

Our recommendation has always been to only use due-dates for tasks that must be done on that date. Doctors appointments, work project deadline, etc. If the task has no hard date, we think that its better to use priority, status and other attributes to organize your tasks. Otherwise, like Salgud mentioned, you will end up spending a lot of time managing your tasks by rolling uncompleted tasks forward to future dates.

This shouldn't happen. Are you syncing your account with any 3rd party apps?

Thanks pawelkaleta!

One thing that I haven't mentioned yet, which may help explain some of our decisions, is that we are working hard to get the Tasks section to work on mobile devices. The old toolbar required a screen wider than 1000 pixels to see all the buttons without horizontal scrolling. There was just too much stuff in it to work at tablet or mobile sizes.

The collapsable sidebar and condensing 4 icons into one has allowed us to get the toolbar to work down to 600 pixels wide and we are working to close the gap all the way down to mobile sizes. Thanks for your patience while we get through this transition. We know its annoying, but we think that its better to release small changes rapidly than to release a huge big change all at once. I promise that we are being really thoughtful and careful and have good reasons for doing what we are doing (backed up by good data). We are not making changes just because we can.

There is not currently a keyboard command to switch between grid and multi-line view. The vast majority of people never ever switch this setting, but I understand that some people use it a lot so we will look into making a shortcut for it.

It will become more apparent why we are moving things out of the toolbar in a few weeks. Right now, we are still in a transition where we are moving things slowly to avoid a major disruption to people's workflow.

Yeah, this is still on our todo list, while we finishup our redesign of the app, but this is definitely planned. Its not a huge deal in my mind because the app syncs when you open it, which is when you need the data anyway, but I do see the value in avoiding that little wait while it syncs and for local alarms to work for tasks added on the website but not synced yet

You can put the comments into the "note" field of the task, but there isn't really a way to have a conversation about a task like you are suggesting.

I second what coolexplorer said. I think using some saved searches that search for the group of folders (Folder A or Folder B or Folder C) would work. You can also try using contexts and the context filter if you aren't already using contexts for something else.

In continuation of the transitional redesign that we started with the Breadcrumb Bar, today we have moved a few things.

These four buttons in the toolbar have been consolidated into a new action menu in the breadcrumb bar.

These four buttons have always been problematic. New users often didn't know what these buttons did and sometimes accidentally clicked them and then couldn't figure out how to undo the setting change. Also, these 4 buttons were seldom used, and just added to page clutter.

By consolidating all of them into a more descriptive popup menu, we are simplifying the page and making these functions easier to understand. We understand that these functions now take two clicks to activate instead of one, but we feel that this is an acceptable compromise because they are rarely used by most people. If you do use the "show/hide notes" and "expand/collapse dividers" functions often, then please try using our keyboard shortcuts functionality which will allow you to activate these functions with one keypress.

We are still working to clean up the task section and will have more changes in this area in the coming weeks.

You can do this by making a custom search rule. First you select "tag" from the popup menu. Then you select "is" from the popup menu to the right of it and then you leave the text field blank. This makes a search of tag is '' or no tag.
