Yes in that case it's you must use "Optionally on" when setting the date so that a new task will be created and you'll be reminded everyday "even if forget one".

"Habbits" ? I think your question is more suited for section

Tips & Tricks
Share your strategies for using Toodledo to stay organized and be more productive.

Time Management
Discuss other techniques for saving time and being more productive.

Hope you have fun using Toodledo

The best way is to read the forum.

But beware, you'll end up with way more 3rd party add-ons than you asked for.

I totally agree, I vote for 0 min reminder, as every reminder method has it's turnaroud and I bet my iCal will popup that reminder within 0,01 sec at worst.

And while at it I wish to push for a multiple reminder ,
It would be of good use in situations where we want to do something at precisely that moment and the task require different level of preparedness.

Like going to bed 8h before a day job

Allowing time to moving to place X to do task Y.

(Pocket Informant does it nicely)

1: Might have something to do with your cookie settings.
I have no problem on my FF 3.6

2: I have noticed this behavior, you must chose the date instead of "None" . Witch I agree is counter intuitive if you've just set a date manually.

I can try answer #2 ,

I don't think setting a due date would make it a high priority,,,(change your filter). There is 4 buttons on the due date page, try with "Optionally on"

Ultimately You could bunch-add them as tasks and edit
the XML export and import as following

replace

<parent>0</parent><title>Lecture???
by
<parent>"TASK ID"</parent><title>Lecture???

Warning : Make some backup not to screw everything :)

Thanks for clear explanations, now I understand.

Sorry for the VCR comparison ;)

What I condemn though is the cost of learning it the hard way.

I suggest that such incomplete task trigger a pop-up warning or to set a date by default like "next Sunday, from now on" without having to go find on what date next Sunday is.

I missed an important event Again...

I consider this a BUG because an old VCR would understand that.

I created this task on the iPhone app

Repeat : Every Sunday
Due time : 8:00PM
Remind me : 30min

The reminder don't register or sync ,,,But that is not the problem ...

There is absolutely no warning popup or anything that what I just did went completely ignored.

Edit : frustration filtered

Being reminded is very important, I'll forgo my rant on Money I lost, opportunity I missed and time I lost because of this reminder behavior...

All recurring reminder work at first so I gave all my trust into that system.

I wont get reminded ! Although my iCal show all task repeating endlessly in the future,

We have to "done check" every past reminder task to be reminded next time. (Google calendar reminded me every time, )

Could someone provide a scenario for that kind of reminding ?

To me when I get an SMS reminding me of something, The reminding is SENT = Reminder DONE.

http://www.toodledo.com/forums/6/3715/0/repeat-reminders-stop-coming-if-one-not-marked-complete.html

If creating a new task is what is needed to solve that I would really prefer that a new task/reminder be created every time before the next reminding. (you know better)

I'd have liked know that beforehand by reading a manual or guide , not into some forum post or FAQs.

I'd like if you start a wiki so we can participate at making a easy to read guide "how to use Toodledo"

Thank You

Not quite what you want but, if you create a task via email and add you employees as a CC, He will receive that task and he could reply to your toodledo account or if he reply to you could make a filter in gmail that would foward it to your toodledo email. And overall that task could be a Folder,,, and your employees would have to use the right syntax.,
Far fetch but If that can help,

I don't think this will be done anytime soon as the use-case for this is uncommon and it would be like easier to have multiple pro account for you employees,,,

I have never used the assign function but I think it should do what you want...
