This isn't possible right now, but my work-around suggestion is to make a separate task on Jan 1, 2016 that says "Start Task X" and put a reminder on that.

Perhaps you have javascript turned off, or maybe you have a plugin that is interfering. It could also be that you have a browser that is too old.

For now, you will need to refer to the original email since Toodledo cannot display the full html of an emailed that is forwarded in and turned into a note.
