Its really simple. If you dont like the UI. Then go elsewhere.

I didn't see the need for an improved UI when I was first here. After you've been here a while you understand why.

It's more than just window dressing - I use Stylish to window dress and it's not enough. It's about providing a greater level of functionality, e.g. better ability to display and handle projects, manual sort order of tasks, drag & drop of tasks, etc.

These are areas where a number of other solutions shine, although admittedly they are yet to catch up in other basic areas that Toodledo has always handled well, e.g. repeating tasks, etc.

Ctrl-Z will undo an edit (at least in Windows browsers).

Oops, sorry.

Then I agree it is a good price for a Windows app.

Thanks for the explanation.

My suggestion was only relevant to working directly on Toodledo.com. If the Google Gadget widget is anything like the slim website then I don't think that you can access the search functionality. Hopefully someone else will know for sure.

Tasksurfer is the only one I've heard of.

Note that Appigo's project tasks (known as subtasks in Toodledo) cannot have a different folder set. While you can do this in Toodledo, when you sync from Appigo it will force them to revert back to the parent's folder.

I keep my projects in a 'Project' folder in Toodledo and all subtasks have the same folder and this works nicely with Appigo.

You can set the 'Search' view to be your default view whenever you login (I do this).

Not sure what you mean about widget.

But way more than most iPhone apps. Why are Windows Mobile apps still so expensive?

@Lincoln,

If you've not created a custom ('saved') search, just go to the search view (View by - Search) and click on the 'New Search' tab.

Following are the criteria I am using. I want to see any tasks that are:
- due today or tomorrow or are overdue
- start today or tomorrow
- have the star field set

You could change these to suit your own requirements. For example, 'Start Date is in the next 5 days' to would make your tasks with a start date appear earlier.

-----

Match Any of the following critera:

Checked off No
and Due Date is not no date
and Due Date is before Today

or
Checked off No
and Due Date is in the next 1 days

or
Checked off No
and Start Date is not no date
and Start Date is before tomorrow
and Start Date is in the next 1 days

or
Checked off No
and Starred yes

And can I put TD on my desk top? Instead of always thru IE? Any info much appreciated!

@Rolf,

There are a few third-party desktop apps that sync with Toodledo, e.g. TaskAngel (Windows) TaskSurfer (Mac) and TaskUnifier (multi-platform). Have a look in the Third Party section of the forums for links and information.

You can do this if you create your own custom search 'Hotlist'.

The ability to manually set the completion date of a task is not possible at the current time. However it is a much asked-for feature.

The Toodledo app on both your iPhone and iPad can sync with the Toodledo website. The website does not initiate the syncing. The apps on your devices do that.

The iPhone and iPad cannot sync to one another directly - data must go through the website.

Louise - welcome.

If you haven't found the Help & News area already, here is a link: http://www.toodledo.com/info/index.php

There are a number of resources available from that page.

And the online Help system has many "Basics" articles that you might find useful. http://www.toodledo.com/info/help.php

I was hoping that this would be such a small change (code-wise) that it would be easy for Toodledo to get done and roll out to us. Maybe not?

@Bryan_1293453365,

My workaround is to work on the Search view where I have an Inbox, Hotlist and a few other views. I rarely go to other tabs now.

It would be great if we could determine sort order. I get around this by prefixing with a, b, c, etc so that my Inbox is the first tab, Hotlist the second, etc.

I can't remember, but I don't think Appigo are using the new API yet.
