I've created a new task and set an alarm for tomorrow morning, but the alarm icon isn't showing up where I expect it. Other tasks with alarms set indicate an alarm icon. Am I doing something wrong here? Some pics:
Here's the task showing I set an alarm: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mj3ysjterxf63yu/Tasks%20%E2%9C%93%20Toodledo%20Missing%20Alamr%20Icon%201. png?dl=0 Here's the task in a list without an alarm icon: https://www.dropbox.com/s/h0n4b2b9y6lq8g8/Tasks%20%E2%9C%93%20Toodledo%20Missing%20Alamr%20Icon%202. png?dl=0 Here's a different task with an alarm icon: https://www.dropbox.com/s/goqimdbib07777w/Tasks%20%E2%9C%93%20Toodledo%20Missiing%20Alamr%20Icon%203 .png?dl=0 |

This might be one of those questions where the answer is staring me in the face, but I'm stuck. I have a task I've recently modified that isn't showing up in lists in which I expect it.
Here are screen shots: 1. Folder View. I found it by assigning it arbitrarily to a folder, then pulling it up under that folder view: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vhu2uhqviz0go1k/Folder%20search.png?dl=0 Notice that I have the task Starred, it's due April 6th, and there's no start date. 2. In My Tasks, All tasks, the task doesn't show up where I would expect it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3dllwhj1u54hfuf/All%20tasks%20%282%29.png?dl=0. I'm sorting by Due Date, Tag, then Priority. I've played with the sorting but haven't found that to solve the problem. The "hidden" tasks are two that I've recently completed, and so that isn't the problem. Here's a search of that folder on one of the words in the Title: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l3qdxxzke1polkt/All%20tasks%20search.png?dl=0 3. Here's the Starred list: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tooh94rdpnbqgu2/Starred.png?dl=0 I'm afraid I'm doing something that might be hiding other tasks from me. Can you explain why that task might not be showing up in my "All tasks" and "starred" views? |

He's not in the office this week, but I just looked at his computer. There's an icon bottom right that he can click that brings up a message, "Tasks is getting an update. Want a preview? [Switch to the New Layout>]".
I suspect he interpreted that as indicating its still being developed, but I don't know that for sure. Here's a screen shot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r3viqz4wxzbup1n/2018-03-16%2009_41_09-Tasks%20by%20main%20%E2%9C%93%20Tood ledo.png?dl=0 This message was edited Mar 16, 2018. |

He says he hadn’t switched to the new version because its still marked as “Beta”. For less “techy” users, the “Beta” label can scare them away from switching. Is the new version still in Beta?

I just got stung by a design flaw in Toodledo that I think you've addressed in the new web version, but remains in place in the old interface. I have a part-time assistant to whom I give a handful of tasks each week. One of those was for him to make a very critical call first thing this morning. Last week I stressed to him how important it was that that call be made at the immediate beginning of business today. So he thoughtfully opened up Toodledo, created a task, checked the box to activate a reminder, but failed to select a "time before" from the dropdown box. Consequently, no alarm was set and he forgot to make the call. I won't got into the details of the serious problems that has caused me.
Experimenting with that (older) interface I see that if someone checks that box but doesn't select a time, Toodledo will "unselect" the box when you close it and no alarm will be set. On the other hand, if someone selects a "remind me before" time from the dropbox, **even if they don't check the box for an alarm**(!), Toodledo will automatically select the checkbox for you. Consequently, the checkbox is unnecessary for setting an alarm, but, dangerously, can cause someone to *think* they've set an alarm when they haven't (as it did with my assistant). It looks like your designers agree, as you've eliminated it in the new version (thank you for continuing to improve this productivity tool). But I wanted you to know that the old version is still being used by some, and at least in this instance that particular design flaw cost one of your users. But, I'm a fan of the product and use it regularly. |

Score: 1
This has been commented on many times, but the threads were locked due to age. So I'm adding a new vote here that you change the default behavior when someone clicks on a link in the notes section that the link opens in a new tab instead of opening in the same tab and losing the users place in Toodledo. This costs me a little bit of time and frustration on a regular basis. Obviously, if I remember to right click I can manually make the request, but in the flow of a hectic day I frequently forget to do that. I don't think there's a situation in which I'd ever want to open a link in the same window from Toodledo.
I'm hoping you can implement that change. This message was edited Jan 09, 2018. |

Problem solved. Under "Show Tags", I had "Select", and none of the tags I've added in the past couple weeks were selected.

I'm scratching my head and maybe there's a simple explanation, but here's my problem:
1. I currently have on my screen the view "My Tasks", "All Tasks", sorted by Due Date, then Priority, then folder. I show 8 tasks in the "Due Today" divider. I'm hiding recently completed tasks, but showing future tasks and negative priority. 2. If I switch to view "Folders", "Land People" (one of my folders), sorted by Tag, then Due Date, then Folder, I immediately see 4 tasks that are Due Today, but weren't included in the "Due Today" divider in my previous view. 3. Further, if I go back to the view in #1, above, and search for those tasks the search shows no results. One of the tasks that's not showing up is "Barb Moore, [email protected], xxx-xxx-xxxx", and is due today. There are at least three others, too. I've now clicked on the search icon, typed "Barb" in the search bar. As I click through the various view icons on the left, Toodledo produces the correct task in every view except the top one, which is the "My Tasks" view (the check mark icon). I just tried opening Toodledo in another browser, and I'm still having the same problem. My fear is that Toodledo isn't displaying all of my tasks that are due today, and that I would have missed them if I hadn't changed to another view. Maybe I'm missing something obvious? Or is there suppressing those tasks in the "My Task" view? This message was edited Oct 11, 2017. |

Arrghh. This is probably not a Toodledo problem, but you might be able to shed light.
I can't get the alert notifications to work now in the stand alone app. They simply don't go off (although email notifications are correctly sent). Further, Toodledo doesn't show up in Settings, Notifications. I've deleted and reinstalled Toodledo to no avail. Then I restored iPhone as new phone, and installed Toodledo and it worked. But when I restored from my iPhone from backup, it doesn't work. I'm very much hoping I don't have to restore as new, then reinstall all my apps, data and the like (an all day project, and I lose all my text messages). Do you know of some issue related to the Toodledo app that might save me that trouble? |

For what it's worth: The ios app would solve a problem for me if I could set it to sync automatically on a schedule. The sync on edit and sync on open/close options each cause their own problems for busy users trying to quickly get to information quickly. Forgetting to sync regularly causes more problems. If I could tell it to sync every hour (or whenever), that would definitely be my syncing choice.

Bummer. I realize everyone's use/need varies tremendously in a service like this so there's no "right" set of priorities for feature inclusion. But that will keep me from using that version on my phone--I get way too many emails to allow email to interrupt/alert me, but I need Toodledo alerts to require me to respond so I know I got the reminder. I'll have to stick with the App and endure the syncing until the web site can send SMS.

I've switched to the new version of the app on my iPhone, but I'm not getting reminders now. I tried reading the help page, but it seems to address alarms for the app. Do I need to need to change a setting on the new version to make those reminders work on my iPhone (I want them to trigger iPhone Alerts)?

Posted Jul 21, 2017 in: Search bar behavior in new vs. classic view
Score: 1
I like the unified version you've recently rolled out--the version that resizes itself appropriately for each of my screens (computer, iPad, iPhone). But my first annoyance: The behavior of the search bar.
In the classic view, if you open the quick search bar, type in a search phrase, then want to clear the bar but leave it open for another search, you click the "x". The bar remains open until you click again on the quick search icon. In the new view, if you click the X it closes the bar. Instead, you have to highlight and delete the existing text to clear the search and leave the bar open. I'm in and out of that search bar hundreds of times a day, and having to use both the mouse and the keyboard to clear it slows down the workflow quite a bit. I vote for an implementation similar to the classic view. Thanks for a great product! |

I might be missing something obvious, but have we lost the icon/marker that shows us that we've set a reminder for a task? I don't see the bell icon now that indicates I've set a reminder. Am I looking in the wrong place?

I'm trying to renew but can't find how to change my credit card. The one on file is no longer active. I've stepped through the renew steps, but am not finding a way I can change the credit card info Toodledo has on file. I also tried reviewing my Account Settings information. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious. Can you point me to the right page?

I know this has been suggested before, but I'm adding my voice for this feature. I use Toodledo in my business and I assign task to various people on my team. I'd like to be able to set alarms for them that I know will be going off later that day. Unfortunately, I have no way to know if they've synced their devices. Would love to see this feature added.

I'm using an iPhone (9.2.1).
I went to the desktop version of the software in Safari and zoomed in on the drop-down menu to see collaborators desk tops. However, when I touch-click on one of the collaborators, the interface does not seem to be working with my iPhone. When I click on one of the collaborators, Toodle do seems to think I'm clicking on whatever is on the screen underneath that drop down. So I end up going into the search bar, or adding a new task, or similar while trying to select a collaborator. This doesn't seem to happen with other drop-down elements at the top of the screen. But right now I'm unable to view my collaborator's desktop from my iPhone. Any workaround suggestions? |

I like the changes you've made to the interface. More intuitive, good organization of features access. Thanks! I am, however, having to reopen the search bar many dozens of times each day. The reason for this is that 1) I have hundreds of tasks and I often have to search to find what I'm looking for, and 2) I frequently have to switch to Notes view for other kinds of information. I wish I could open the search bar, and that it would be open even if I went to notes or another view and then came back.
