These Tasks->Goals-Chain, and Toodledo is changing my Life as well. Love the concept and app.

Just a quick question, the chains being displayed are 60 days?

Thanks, keep up the good work guys.

I'm constantly running up against this problem. Seems like this is the only search criteria that's left out.

Perhaps a search criteria such as:

"Has Parent-Task in Results"
"Has Parent-Task not in Results"

:)

I had a problem with the USB 4.0 Beta version of Chrome

http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/google_chrome_portable (scroll down)

when you hover over the checkbox, or sub-task drag icons, the pop-up dialog box is under the text, not over it.

Perhaps this is related.

Sometimes after deleting something, or Mass-Tagging something You want to undo it, or "double check" that you it was something you wanted to do.

It'll be cool if Toodledo has some type of undo feature. I think "Remember the Milk" has an undo feature...

Not really gonna be used a lot, but could imagine it might "save the day" when you need it.

Having Quick Find on Search View. Don't see why not, unless the "Quick Find" feature is complicated...

Hey there TD staff.

The Search functions are great! I use that as my main screen, and have 11 search tabs currently.

My most technical search has 8 rules and 20 sub-rules in total. So I definitely appreciate the complexity of these searches.

One feature request (Unless there's another way to do it) is to have a criteria that query's a sub-task's Parent. For example.

Ssomething like. (This is actually what I'm trying to do)

Is Subtask = Yes
Subtask's Parent's Priority = 3
Checked Off = No

Only show the subtask if the parent's priority is 3. The subtasks could have any priority.

I don't think there is anyway to do this currently.

This is what I'm Trying to do.

Match -Any- of the following criteria:
-Has Tasks- Yes
AND -Priority- is -3 Top
OR
-Is Subtask- Yes
AND -Parent's Priority- is -3 Top (This criteria doesn't exist)

Quang

Yeh can't seem to create a "ToodleDo This!" link for easy drag&drop in the forum.

Just wanted to +1 a bookmarklet for "quick add".

Created a quick add bookmarklet that opens the toodledo's slip/add tool in new window.

javascript:void(open('http://www.toodledo.com/slim/#_add','Toodledo','scrollbars=no,width=350,height =462,top=75,left=75,status=yes,resizable=yes'))

So I'm using priority 1-Medium as my "Action/Tasks" Default now, (one of the reasons is because windows mobile tasks are automatically inputed as 1-Medium priority)

-1 priority = On Hold
0 priority = Someday/Maybe
1 priority = Default Action/Task
2 priority = High Priority
3 priority = Top Priority/Next Actions

Everything seems to obey the "New Task Defaults" except for adding new subtasks, (which I do frequently) it'd be great if new subtasks can obey by at least the default priority rule set in "New Task Defaults"

Just a thought, I might be able to make the "All subtasks starts at 0-Priority work though)

Quang

Hi when you click the side panel and get to the goals page.

The middle "Tasks" Column (Contributes-Tasks-Archived), has a number for each goal row.

What does that number mean?

I can't figure it out. Is it the # of links goals's on the progress chain? It doesn't seem to match up with the total tasks completed for said goal, which was what I thought.

+1 Windows Mobile

Evernote would be cool, but I don't see the connection. Unless we are talking about syncing Notes!

Syncing Task Notes? & Notebook Pages?

BETTER TAGS

* Rename Tags
* Tags Autocomplete

Tags is very versatile, using it right now in replace of "Context" because it syncs with my Windows Mobile Tasks-Categories (nuevasync).

It'll be great if it was a little more robust. Ability to rename tags I think is the most important.

I was trying to get my tag "Online" to be viewed as "online" lol...

A quick way to rename tags, is to do a search tag: tag_name, then do a multi-edit tag: new_tag_name. But a good point about if the item has multiple tags...

Also it'd be cool if we can rearrange Tabs, in the Tag views. (though not essential) :)

I actually use tags in place of "context" because Tags gets converted to "Categories" on my windows mobile phone with Nuevasync. Haven't figured out how to make the context convert instead.

Anyone heard of the Pomodoro Technique?

http://www.pomodorotechnique.com/

It's great, I've been using it the last couple weeks, basically it involves estimating your time & working in 25 minute blocks with a kitchen timer.

There's a detailed review of it, on the Wall Street Journal
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704538404574541590534797908.html

Anyone else heard of it or uses it, time boxing / time blocking or something similar with Toodledo?

I'm new to toodledo, love all the customization and options to sort tasks. (Digg that it even has a built in timer!)
