False advertising to say the least. Lazy programming to say even more. 2 1/2 years and you can't even deliver the #1 request to potential customers?
Do the people at Toodledo not like making money?

I think the dev is using Toodledo to manage the development of Toodledo itself.

He simply may not have found a real need for collaboration yet.

This is one of the best post I read, Someone in the software business considering going back to paper.

Yes, Indeed it does not take much to be fatigued and frustrated while working with Toodledo. There is no documented way of using it. Those using it seriously know it's only possible with many workarounds (greasemonkey).

IMO It is very unfortunate to see there is no communication with the dev and it's customer. We do get canned reply that our post have been read but other than that there is no hint as to where the project is headed. It's a shady, one man project (even though he always refer to himself as "we").
He could be on vacation for 2 month and we couldn't notice.

I suggest you use this for multi-edit : http://www.toodledo.com/forums/3/7525/0/greasemonkey-script-to-edit-multiple-tasks.html

Is this any better ?

I would like to share a personal experience, Very Often I add a task in a hurry and once I have time, I go back to it for completing details.

When I click "recently added" I expect to see it there easily, but instead, I see a pages full of tasks I added long ago.

Sorry I can't say "I would like "Recent .. tasks" to be sorted by RECENTNESS, Please... "

I can only say, This is definitely wrong, and am confident with it being Obvious.

;)

I have my workaround to this problem so anyhow Jake can only be grateful peoples take the time to point to such obviousness in length.

I completely agree,

If we were to get a "Thanks for the suggestion... todo" my head would explode.

To Devs :
How often do you think we add a task very quickly then when we have time go back to it for completing details?

Very, Very Often !

Do I really need to explain why a sort by Date added is 100x better than the current ? "cutoff tasks modified lated than 7 day ago" (Same)

As if 7 days ago magically matter more than 8 days ago.
The task I added 2 min ago is the only one that matter 90% of the time,

Suggestion : rename "recently ..." with "... in the last 7 days"
So we stop expecting anything more from that tab.

Tag is the most flexible tool for workarounds, Unfortunately you can't count on it in it's current incarnation.

I second this request,

Just WOW, I think it was the most requested feature.

I my eyes you've added more usefulness to Toodledo than the dev himself during a year.
Do you accept donations ?

Preliminary observations :

Overdue, select "no date" tasks.
Postpone, works wonderful.
Starred tab, Clever idea.
Input parsing : Borrowed ... No shame ;)

"Recently ..." are simple "last week ..." cutoff that can get overloaded easily.

Example : I modified 50 task last week, But I generally care more about the last ones.

Their corresponding "Sort by ..." are better as we choose the cutoff point by reading top to bottom thus It never get overloaded.

Sorry for being vague, I though is was obvious they must also be sorted independently.

Don't listen... You can select all reminder times without needing a Toodledo Pro account.
(Must enable "due time" to get the minutes-hours delays)

Are you using the Appigo ToDo ?, It is the only 3rd party Apps I know with this limitation.

It should hopefully be updated in the upcoming version 4.

There is no pop-up from the web-version, are you using a 3rd party software like TaskAngel ?

Rather than allowing the manual ordering, Why not simply add more level of Priority,

There is currently only 4 level of priority, (negative ?) (Poor)

By the very definition of the word there can only be one TOP priority. (Wrong)

How are we supposed to order say +20 tasks by priority if they overlaps.

I suggest going from -1 to 10 and have a Up/Down arrow.

While on the subject,
It also make more sense that when I press the UP arrow the priority goes UP, It is now the opposite. (Wrong)

Also Some peoples pointed out here http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/6633/-34829/change-priority-so-1-highest.html
Priority 1 should be the highest. This is also the opposite. (Wrong)
