The reason why we released this now instead of waiting until we were "done" was because we wanted to get the minimal viable product out to people so that they could start using it and giving us feedback. Outlines will be integrated into the Tasks section in an future update. We are working on this right now. Outlines will also be included in the API so that 3rd party apps and our iOS app can use it. It is difficult for us to provide personal responses to all the questions in these long threads, so if you want a specific answer to your specific question please create a new forum topic or create a support ticket. We are glad that most people seem to like the new section.

An outline is a place for you to organize projects, take notes and store other hierarchical information. You can use an outline to brainstorm, organize your homework, plan a business report, or break a project down into smaller pieces. It supports unlimited levels of hierarchy, so you can use an outline to break projects down into subtasks and sub-subtasks and sub-sub-subtasks if you want. We've been using this internally and with beta testers for a few months, and we've had really positive feedback. What you will need to do is click the "show" button and then click the appropriate option under subtasks whenever you want to switch the view. It should only take a few seconds. We will look into ways of making the subtask filter sticky per search.

We recognize that an android solution is extremely important. It is a high priority for us. We just haven't had the resources to fully devote to this project yet.

It looks at the dates associated with a task (Added, modified, completed, due, etc). So a task can be added and modified and completed and due on the same day.

If you are seeing an ad, then it is coming from some other place, perhaps a browser plugin or a computer virus that you have accidentally gotten.
