This is on our to-do list, but it is our policy to not comment on our roadmap or delivery dates for future feature improvements.

Unfortunately, this isn't possible, but it is on our to-do list. However, we can't comment on a timeframe for implementation.
Thanks

The database is stored on your phone. If you have connected once while online, it will be there when you are offline. If you are having trouble with it displaying information when offline, please create a support ticket with some additional details so that we can investigate and find out what is going wrong.

News updates will continue to go here in these forums as well as facebook and twitter. There are just extra avenues now.
Facebook and Twitter announcements are optional. You don't have to tweet every meeting, but you may want to tweet your big accomplishments. Its up to you.
Sometimes we work on things that are not requested because people don't always know what is possible. This was short 3 day project that was fun and we thought it would be a nice addition that could bring some awareness to Toodledo.

Our new mobile website can work offline http://m.toodledo.com It it smart enough to know when you don't have a connection and will queue up changes until you connect again. Just visit the site once when online and then bookmark it to return to when you are offline.

Basic search is available on the iPad, and saved searches are still on the to-do list. Saved searches are my personal top request for the iPhone, so I am motivated to get it done, but we have a few things that have higher priority due to their wider appeal.
Our slim website will no longer be getting updated as we transition to m.toodledo.com, which will be getting saved searches in a future update, hopefully sooner rather than later.

We are working on getting note HTML to display on the iPhone. It will be in our next big release, although we may have a few small releases in the interim.

The hotlist was designed to show you the most important tasks on your list. If it allowed you to go down to "low priority" then it wouldn't be any different from the "All Tasks" list. S
It sounds like you just want to look at "All tasks"

If you want a static list you can use folder, context, goal or location. Tags were designed intentionally to be non-static. That is, the lists is constantly updating to reflect the tags actually in use and unused tags are not displayed until they are used again. Currently tags are sorted by the frequency of use, but there have been many requests to make this alphabetical and this is on our to-do list.

Today we are releasing some social network integrations that will allow you to easily share your accomplishments with your friends and family.
From the "Tools" menu, you will see a new option called "Social Networks". From here you can setup a link between Toodledo and Facebook and/or Twitter. Once you have established the connection, you can now tweet or "facebook" your accomplishments from Toodledo. To do this, click on the action icon for a task and select "Tweet" or "Update Facebook Status". You will then be given the opportunity to customize your message and post it.
The Twitter integration has some bonus features. You can add and fetch tasks via Twitter and receive alarms for tasks due soon. This functionality exited prior to today's announcement, but the setup process has been streamlined and made more reliable now.
We now have an official Facebook page for Toodledo ( https://www.facebook.com/Toodledo ) where we will be posting these announcements in the future as well as other tips and special promotions. Please take a moment to visit our Facebook page and "Like" it, if you are so inclined. We also have a Twitter page where we will be doing the same thing: https://twitter.com/#!/toodledo
Thanks and Enjoy!

Thanks for the suggestion. Right now, the only way to do this is manually with copy/paste.

Once you install that gadget, look in the bottom left corner of the screen for a button that has three dots on it "..." Click that and the gadget will appear on the left side where you can quickly add/edit tasks.

The notification list that drops down from the top of the iPad screen is controlled by Apple. Apple will keep items in that list for awhile even if you have deleted them from Toodledo. You can clear out the notification list by tapping the x button in the "Toodledo" divider and then tapping "clear".

If you always review your to-do list when you get in the car to see if there are any tasks that you need to do on your drive, then you probably don't need our location alarm feature. The location alarm feature was designed for people who don't check their list, and want to get an alert when they happen to be near a location that has a pending task that they didn't know about. This is why the 1 mile radius is suitable for this scenario.
That said, we will be adding more functionality in the future, including the "location leaving" alarm when we get a chance.

The location alarm system was designed to remind you about something that you may have forgotten about for a nearby location. If you are already at the grocery store and already know that you are there to do your grocery shopping, then yes the alarm isn't doing much for you. In this case, you just need to open the app an go into the location section to find the list of tasks for that location. Or, you can go into the "all tasks" list and sort the list by distance which will put all of the nearby locations in one list with the closest and most important tasks at the top.
The smallest alert distance is 1 mile because this the smallest distance that Apple's technology supports without draining the battery in a few hours. When Apple upgrades their technology to allow smaller alert distances, we will do likewise.
Thanks for the suggestion about alarms for leaving a location. We know that "Reminders" has this, and we are evaluating if it is something that we want to add. From my memory, you are the third person to request this, so it isn't a popular request, but we still have it on our to-do list.

Yes, you could look at folders as being nothing more than special tags, but folders to have some extra functionality.
1) You can archive folders
2) You can control who collaborators with you via folder permissions
3) Folders can be manually ordered
Thanks for the suggestion about having an option to force subtasks to have their parent's folder. This was an initial constraint that we had when subtasks were first released, but we relaxed this constraint by popular request. It might be worth looking into making this a user configurable option.
