Thanks for the message! Is this for the new app that you are referring to?
If so this is something on our todo list for subtasks to take on the same attributes as the parent task. Is that what you are looking for?

Unfortunately, we don't have a way to do this -- however, have you tried using the "new" tasks page? It should be much faster for large tasks lists.

You can access it at https://tasks.toodledo.com (rather than the "Original"page at https://www.toodledo.com/tasks) and configure it to be your default i your settings here: https://www.toodledo.com/account_edit.php?edit=7

Thanks for letting us know! These are on our list to fix -- in the meantime, the defaults and fields are both taken from your account settings on the website.

We do plan to make these editable from the app (and be able to either sync with the web or have separate mobile settings), but maybe this current workaround will help you.

If it is a shared task, you will get a notification, but we don't have notifications for other scenarios.

The new app currently syncs your hotlist settings from the website (except if you have a custom search, that isn't yet implemented).
Eventually we will allow you to edit the hotlist from the app, but that's not there yet.

My concern is that I have multiple devices which sync with Toodledo and it takes one problem on one of them and all data can be lost at worst or at best one task to be missed; this has happened a couple of times now.


I'm not sure I understand this part and would like to make sure you aren't losing data!

On your deleted tasks page, it should tell you how the task got deleted https://www.toodledo.com/delete_log.php

It could be from a 3rd party app, or the task was an optional task, or that a completed task was auto-deleted from being too old (see settings here: https://www.toodledo.com/account_edit.php?edit=12)

What does the "method" column say in your deleted task list?

The new task will take the priority from the iOS reminders app. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to override the priority in the Toodledo app.

However, if you set the default in the Toodledo app (not on the website), it should use those defaults (so you could use a default folder, due date, etc. for tasks added from your iOS app).

You are right, this does seem to be a bug. If you don't have a time or if the time is 12:01 then it should not hide when you have the task filter on.

Would you mind filing a bug report on this so we can fix it?

We are making progress, but if you need more advanced features, we suggest you continue to use the old iPhone app for now. We are working hard to have feature parity but aren't there yet.

It looks like if you use the XML backups, the backup XML file (https://www.toodledo.com/tools/connect_backup.php) have a field called <parent> that references the parent task.

If you use the XML backup option, you should be able to restore with the subtasks intact.

There is only a single database so this should not happen.

Can you send us a support ticket with some screenshots that we can look at? I'm wondering if maybe there are some settings that are different.
