I approve,
As a behavior change with consequence I suggest it should added as a mandatory option but enabled by default on new account. |

You can already sync with 2 taps. Tap on Settings. Then tap on Sync button. With the auto-sync options enabled, you shouldn't ever have to manually sync anymore. "2 Tap" ??? it's one too much and you seems to forget the 5-6 step required to get to the app in the first place. * They are at bottom and top of the screen, As said earlier my thumb can't reach that top sync button. "auto-sync options" ??? * there is no such option, * Sync on Startup : Mine is ALWAYS running ! * Sync on edit : I edit ELSEWHERE most of the time! (another app or Web) *What if I'm on the iPod touch and there is no connection ? * There is now nothing where it was before. Why should we change our habits for something that is obviously worst ? Again If all 5 todo app I use have "sync" always accessible. It should be for a reason...... clueless This message was edited Jul 11, 2010. |

There is no keyboard shortcut for going to notebook and most importantly for adding a new note.
This is very unfortunately as the keyboard is what I often use for writing notes. And, Could you please make the help link so it stand out from Upgrade Your Account Help & News Privacy | Conditions Copyright © 2006-2010 Jul 09, 2010 4:19 am The link is dark blue and not underlined, look the same as the black text. |

nice Chazzjh,
I'd like to add that the sync button should return to the first page, Or make it so that tapping setting twice would sync. Think of all the people that make a modif on the web then leave the house. with the app running 100% of the time... Well,,, if all 5 todo app I use have "sync" on the bottom bar, It should be a reason... |

We shouldn't need to wait 8 month, write multiple pages long explanation with graphics to report on an obvious (class='dim') omission.
Posted by PeterW: constant posting and criticism about it won't make Jake and the team go any faster. Please Note that I have repeated this only once, (last time was 8 month ago). I am not only posting for complaining. I requested about 10 quick fix that would makes significant improvement, I also took a lots of time explaining my reasoning behind those changes. Only getting automated replies like ... "blabla timeframe", or "thanks for the suggestion" is very frustrating. This time I will repeat myself : "What annoy me the most is that there's about 30 times more work being done on complex workaround for simple fixes, than actual work on the project, (From what I saw in the last 8 months.)" I am well aware of alternatives. Yet, may I ask you which "cloud-based systems" in particular you're referring to ? This post has been hidden because of negative votes. Hi Transisto, I must say that I do not have the same problem with reading the interface as you do. Although I don't use goals yet so perhaps that's part of your issue? It is the same with every field. You must not have understood very well, yet I went to great length to explain. For instance when scrolling a +100 tasks list : "Due: Dec 31" look like "Due: no date" "Repeat: Daily" look like "Repeat: None" "Context: No Context" look like "Context: In Context" Think about it this way : Someone knock at your door, you open, and that clueless asshat say : "Huu. I don't know where I'm from, why I'm here, I've No Goal, I won't come back, ..." Nevermind, Seriously hope you're joking me. This post has been hidden because of negative votes. Click to reveal |

No there is none,
I barely noticed there was a number for that. I don't see much how it would help anyone else to have this the other way. |

I have to agree the multiline mode is very neat when all details are hidden.

Like you, I ran Toodledo in grid format for a long time and recently switched over to multi-live view. As users of the multi-line view what do you think of this: (from my first post 8 month ago) http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/4321/0/web-interface-big-improvements-to-be-made.html 3. When in grid mode, the "empty" default text are dark and thus indistinguishable from user entered data, "Context: No Context, Goal: No Goal, Start: no date, Repeat: None ... Like the "Tag" and "Length" field, they are really empty, or showing them light gray as in the multi-line mode. http://pkoi.ca/ffftoood.png I can't stand the multi-line view because of this clutter. I agree, "very minimalistic, easy to use interface" is the way to go.
I was very impressed by how TaskPaper can be powerfull for it's simplicity, It show how a more natural text editing capability can greatly help the brain function. The Mac + iPhone UI have pushed this philosophy and that's why it work best for creative works. I would say Toodledo can be good if you work 5to9 as a desk employee, taxi dispatcher, or any sort of repetitive slavery work. For the Creative Entrepreneur it is very hard to work with and near impossible to get used to. My thought. |

As an intimate couple, sharing the same account should definitely work.
With all customizable field, (context folder tags goals) Finding a way to designate witch task belong to who should be easy. Just remember to sync more often. That's a very good way to collaborate and stay current by sharing your progress. I Love this idea. Please updates us on how you ended up managing this. Mr Inbox Mr Tasks Mrs Inbox Mrs Tasks ...? |

I think that paper winning shows how incomplete the digital offerings really are. If lifehacker readers prefer paper, How about the population in general ? I would seriously consider a toggle for Basic/Advanced Interface mode. |
