It only searches in the body of the message. The 5 threads it found for your name must have mentioned your name in the posts. It also does relevance matching, so if you search on a phrase that is not unique enough (like "the") it won't find anything.

Go to the purchase page as if you were buying it for yourself. Before clicking on the PayPal or Google Checkout buttons, look for the box labeled "Gift Subscriptions". Put the other person's email address in here and it will allow you to purchase a subscription for them. You dont need their password and they dont need your paypal account. Hope that helps.

If it is overdue, then you need to check it off and it will move to the next occurrence. If you want this to happen automatically, you can make it an optional task. If you ever decided to release it publicly, we would require a valid URL where people could find out more about your product.

The Toodledo iPhone app is a more direct analog to the website so it will be a little more comfortable to switch between the two. Its really up to your preference. There is nothing bad about Pocket Informant that I am aware of. It is very popular.

It would be better to give each task a -1 priority, or use a context or tag filter to hide the tasks.
