The Tasks section is for storing items that need to be done. Each item is called a "Task".

The Notebook section is for storing notes that aren't necessarily related to a task. Each entry in the notebook section is called a "Page".

In our testing, lower than 1mile caused lots of erroneous alarms, but we'll test it again.

I wish we could fix it. I'm sorry that we can't. It is a Google issue. The bug only affects the Toodledo Google Calendar gadget, so you can remove this gadget from your Google Calendar and you won't have the problem anymore. You'll then just need to keep Toodledo open in another tab instead us relying on the little popup Toodledo inside Google Calendar. That's not such a big deal, I don't think.

Clever!

I haven't tested this (don't have my 4S yet), but I can see how it would work. Create a contact in your address book with your Toodledo email import address listed. Name the contact "Toodledo" or if Siri has a hard time understanding you, you can name it something else like "to do".

Then you just tell Siri "Email Toodledo that I need to brush my teeth"

We cannot support Siri until Apple makes it possible, but we would love to do this.

To make TextExpander work, you first need to install and enable the TextExpander app. Then launch Toodledo and type on of your shortcuts into any of the text fields (note, task title, etc).

We are looking into Siri support, but prefer to wait until Apple provides an official solution instead of the unofficial hack that RTM uses (I give them points for being clever though).

It is not currently possible to share tasks based on a changing criteria like the due-date. Tasks can only be shared by folder. Thanks for the suggestion.

If you change a task on both the iPhone and the website before syncing, the iPhone's copy will win. In the future, we plan to implement proper conflict resolution, but for now, the iPhone will always overwrite the website if there is a tie.

If you want every task to have an alarm, you can set a default alarm in your account settings for all future new tasks. You'll have to set them for any existing tasks, but going forwards, all new tasks will have alarms if this is what you want.

Actually, the forced syncing is more likely to cause duplicates than the regular syncing, since with forced syncing, it sends every task to the website. With regular syncing it only sends the changes.

Yes, you need to set an alarm for a task too. Try this: http://www.toodledo.com/info/help.php?sel=85

You only need to add the due-date for the current copy of the repeating task. When you complete it, Toodledo will automatically move it forward by your repeat settings and reschedule the due-date.

Toodledo does not run a CalDav server, so this isn't a possibility at this time, but we are looking into it.

RTM does it a little indirectly and I give them credit for being clever and getting good publicity from this. When you use Siri to make a reminder, it just adds it iCal on the iPhone. RTM has a way to sync with the calendar, so it sucks the tasks in that way. Everything on your calendar will be sucked into RTM, and vice versa. Its a clever idea. We would prefer to use Apple approved APIs, but we will look into this and see what we can do along these lines.

That warning happens when you are pressing one of the "Force Sync" buttons. You don't have to do this normally. Just use the regular sync button in the top corner of the setting section, or better yet, turn on auto-syncing and it will do it magically in the background.

Yes, the reminders can appear in the notification center. You just need to go into the Notification center preferences and tell it to put Toodledo in there. It doesn't do it by default.

Yes, the iPad can be locked and Toodledo doe snot need to be open or running.

This assumes that your iPad supports location alarms (has 3G).

We do not have plans to make our iPhone app sync with multiple accounts. If you have multiple Toodledo accounts, my advice is to use a 3rd party iOS app for syncing with the other account.
