Posted Jan 09, 2012 in: Setting a Repeating task on Multiple Dates
Score: 0
You're going to need to create more than one task.
The "Friday of each week" is easy: create a task and in the Repeat field, go to Advanced and type "Friday" (without the parentheses). This task will repeat every Friday. "Each day of first week of month" is a bit strange. A single task in Toodledo cannot accommodate this pattern of repetition. Do you really need to do this task one to seven times (or five times) depending on the first day of the month? This message was edited Jan 09, 2012. |

Why do you think that your tasks will be deleted from Outlook?

Score: 0
There have been several requests for Task Dependency, for example, this one from November 2008:
http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/937/-4311/subtask-dependency-feature-request.html And this one from a year ago: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/8961/-55502/task-dependency-status.html There's also this post from Toodledo: And I don't really keep track of task dependency. If a task can't be worked on for whatever reason, I give it a "waiting" status. During my weekly review, I'll look at all the tasks that are "waiting" and if any of their prerequisites have been done, I'll remove the "waiting" status. We know that people really want task dependency so that tasks are automatically hidden if they are dependent on another task, and we do plan to build this. For me, it is much faster and more efficient to manage this manually with a weekly review that it would be to record all the complex inter-relationships between all my tasks. http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/1817/-8343/linking-tasks-by-tasks-that-proceed-another-one.html This message was edited Jan 06, 2012. |

The list "Recently completed tasks" is for the past 7 days.
Your other completed tasks are available through the Search function by specifying "Checked off" = Yes. You can't undelete a deleted task but you can see the task listed in Settings and then in the top left "Recently deleted tasks". BTW, Pro subscribers can retain their completed tasks for 2 years: http://www.toodledo.com/pro.php This message was edited Jan 06, 2012. |

"Recently completed" shows tasks completed in the past 7 days.
You can search for any task using the Search function: http://www.toodledo.com/info/search.php As long as you didn't delete the task, it will still be there. |

Is it possible to set (different) filters on the iPhones so that I can only see my tasks and my wife can only see her tasks? It depends what you mean by "my tasks".Do you want to use Folders to identify your tasks and your wife's tasks, or do you want to use Contexts or Tags? The filters on each iPhone are independent. You can filter differently on each iPhone. |

There have been several requests for more than one level of subtasks. For example, here is a request from September 2009: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/3348/-17956/sub-tasks-nested-with-multiple-levels.html
And here's one from October 2010: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/8119/-41741/read.html There is no indication from Toodledo that this feature will ever be implemented. |

In the meantime, a mobile optimized version of the toodledo web interface would not be bad either. There's this: http://www.toodledo.com/slimAnd even more basic: http://www.toodledo.com/html |

I backup my Toodledo data every month using the XML export and I have a repeating task that reminds me to do the backup. There is no automated way of backing up that is available in Toodledo. I suppose you create something but it would be quite a complex job.
I use Toodledo on my iPhone and my iPad so, in a way, it is an additional backup, but I have both devices set to sync on startup, so if I make a mistake and I don't notice it right away, I could end up with incorrect or missing data on the two devices and on the website. The backups have been useful when I've tried various iPhone apps that sync with Toodledo and there was a problem with the synchronization. Twice I've had to delete all my tasks and restore from a recent backup. FWIW, I've never had a problem with official Toodledo app. |

Upgrade to Pro Plus? ;)
Not sure what you mean by "better way/workflow". It seems that you are backing up your completed tasks using the Export tool: http://www.toodledo.com/tools/connect_csv.php Or, perhaps the tool that backs up all of your Toodledo data: http://www.toodledo.com/tools/connect_xml.php You can import the data into Excel, or into another spreadsheet program, or even into a database. |

It's not really "GREAT" and it's not really "news".
There have been other requests for viewing attachments on iOS devices. For example, this request from August 6, 2009: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/2646/-36473/viewing-files-on-the-iphone.html And this one from August 3, 2010: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/7057/-56996/file-attachment-availability-on-ipad.html This message was edited Dec 15, 2011. |

I am wondering, what happens to my all my subtasks, when the subscription ends? In the list of Help topics here: http://www.toodledo.com/info/help.php there's an area called Billing, and there's "What happens when my Pro subscription expires?" It says: If you have subtasks, and your subscription expires, all of your subtasks will be flattened out onto the same level as your tasks. They will no longer be nested inside of their parent tasks. When you renew your Pro subscription, your subtasks will regain their previous hierarchy.

@Salgud, your occasional attempts at sarcasm are not helpful, nor are they funny.
You often provide helpful comments and suggestions, and I'm sure that users appreciate what you have to offer. This message was edited Dec 13, 2011. |
