I suppose it could be a timing issue. If your app is really really fast it could try to use the new token before that token has replicated to all of our database servers. Can you try an experiment? Put a 2 second delay in between getting a token, and using it. If that fixes the problem then let me know and I'll see if we can get around this on our end by having token validation use the master db instead of the replicas.

I will check on that and get them fixed, but to be safe you could always do a type check and convert strings to integers in your code when necessary. Try to avoid making an assumption on the data type so that if we fix the bug your app won't crash.

Score: 1 Jake (Admin) Posted: May 31, 2011 Score: 1 I am not sure what is going wrong, but it must be some implementation detail of the POST because there are dozens of apps using the API 2.0 with POST, and the sample code I posted above works. I can't see anything wrong with the code you posted. My only guess is that when you POST the data, it is encoding it again, so you may be double encoding the characters. I am not very familiar with .net, so I can't be certain, but I am fairly sure that the issue is not with the API.

You will need to contact the developer of that 3rd party tool for advice on how to prevent that from happening again. Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a note or task that has been edited.

The status field is not currently editable, but you might consider using folders, contexts, goals, locations or tags in place of status, since all of these fields are editable.

I just look at my list sorted by due-date and I can see the tasks in the order that they happen, but it will come down to personal preference. I would recommend trying it for a few weeks and see if it works for you. We also have plans to improve our calendar support in future updates.

This is one of the reasons why we are resistant to complicating it with multiple levels of nested subtasks. We are working to bring things like task dependency and inheritance to the subtask system and to continually improve it.
