Can you please provide an example of a duedate/startdate combo that is filtered on the website but not on the iPhone. Also, which view/tab are you looking in?

The iPhone's background location monitoring technology is not accurate enough to have such a small distance. 1km is already pushing it.

The scheduler does not currently take the start time into account. If the task can be started today, it will think that it is possible at any time during the day. This is on our to-do list to fix.

It sounds like you are trying to sync with a 3rd party app, or maybe several different 3rd party apps. You'll need to contact those companies for support with syncing their products.

The title must be a single line, so it can't have returns in them, but a note can have carriage returns. What happens when you press the return key when editing a note?

It is not possible to undo edits made on Toodledo, but it may be possible to have Pocket Informant overwrite the copy on the website. You'll have to ask WebIS this question, so I don't know how PI works.

We'll see about returning a better error when the JSON is malformed.

I was not able to reproduce this error. When I create a new notebook, and then refresh account/get.php the lastedit_notebook timestamp has been updated. Can you please provide an example that reproduces the problem?

The examples show GET requests because they can be typed out easily. If you are using a POST, you would put all of the parameters (including key) into the POST body using the normal mechanism.

If you were using PHP, this is what you would do:

$params = "key=".$key."&tasks=".$encodedJSONString;
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $post_url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $params);
$response = curl_exec($ch);

I have updated the API so that key and signature validations are case insensitive. So, this wont be a problem anymore.

I am sorry that our documentation isnt clear. I have just gone through the documentation and updated it with some additional information. I also created a new page that explains how to use GET, POST, JSON and URL escaping.

http://api.toodledo.com/2/account/doc_encode.php

Also, I modified the API so that all calls can now be done via POST or GET.

Toodledo uses standard URL escaping mechanisms. The reason your API call is failing is because the " character needs to be escaped with a backslash as per JSON specifications. Then the entire thing needs to be URL encoded with the % escape sequences per RFC 3986. So " turns into %5C%22.

Spaces can be encodes as either + or %20, it doesn't matter.

I thought we had fixed this. I guess I should say that awhile ago we implemented some code for scrubbing out invalid characters, but we may have missed a character or some entry point.

Do you know of a way to replicate the problem? Do you have a Word file that you can copy and paste from to produce an invalid character in Toodledo? If so, please share it with us so that we can fix the problem. I just ran my unit tests for this and they all passed with the known invalid characters being correctly removed.

These are the characters that we allow. All others are removed.

($char == 0x9) || //tab (9)
($char == 0xA) || //newline (10)
($char == 0xD) || //carriage return (13)
(($char >= 0x20) && ($char <= 0xD7FF)) || //space and printable characters (32-55295)
(($char >= 0xE000) && ($char <= 0xFFFD)) || //(57344-65533)
(($char >= 0x10000) && ($char <= 0x10FFFF))) //(65536-1114111)

The best way to do this is to use our API to fetch the user's account info which will have a timestamp for the last modification to their account. Polling the ICS file will not give you this information, and will be a huge waste of bandwidth.

Thanks for the suggestions. We can't comment on a timeframe for implementation, but these are on our to-do list.
