The calendar is for displaying tasks, not events.

Under "Show", "Subtasks", you have 3 options.

Or add a task when you complete a job, "Invoice Job X"

Something like:

Checked off no
And
Folder is Projects
Or
Folder is Actions
And
Due Date is before tomorrow
Or
Starred is yes

ought to do it.

In place of indentations, I just use a dash.

@Brian

That's what Searches are for, so you don't have to change them individually. Do a little research in the help screens, maybe the forums, and it will pay off handsomely.

@Purveyor

I believe it's Jake's policy about not giving away their plans to their competition that is keeping all of them, hence, "we", from commenting. Seems pretty straightforward to me.

I used an online colander once, but it had memory leaks! ;-)

How about:

Postpone group of task by x days/hrs
De-star repeating task on completion
Better tag management (hierarchical)
More/better print options for task lists and notes
Save sort order, filters, etc in Saved Views

Sounds more like resource time/effort tracking software than a task manager, definitely overkill for me. If I were going to all that trouble, might as well take the leap and use project scheduling software, like M$ Project.

Lakien's book was the first I read, many years ago, about time management. Was a great start then, and I imagine would be ok now. The basic concepts still work, but, of course, there's no reference to electronic task managers.

You do have a couple of other options. You can name your Searched using 2 - 4 - 6 instead of 1 - 2 - 3 so that when you add a new one, you can just use the odd numbers and not have to change all the higher numbers. But only one time for each.

You can also name new in-between views 1.1, 1.2, etc. And yes, it's a kludge, but it will remove the need to renumber every time something changes.

I just right click on links and select "Open in new tab". It's not very difficult or time consuming.

There are a few ways of doing this. One is as follows:
I have my own Hotlist in my Saved Searches, and the filters allow only Next Actions whose Due Date or Start Date are before tomorrow (actually, the real one is a bit more complicated, but this part is all that's needed for this discussion.) So my repeating tasks don't show until they are due today or due to start by today. Of course, I have to go through everything in my Weekly Review and keep my Next Actions tasks current to make this happen with one-time tasks, but my repeating tasks, which have no Start Date, pop up on my list on their Due Date with no help from me after I set them up this way.
